Hello, I liked you video and teaching techniques. I could use some dual in your aircraft. A lifelong Mooney pilot (currently an 84 M20K) and renewing an Excalibur which I understand is similar to the Challenger. Haven't flown a high wing since I sold my Cessna 140 in 1965 and the Mooney pretty much flys itself, so some dual is probably a good idea for me. Should have the Excalibur finished in February or March. Located in Punta Gorda and hanger the Mooney at KPGD. Curious as how you make the videos and very little, if any, sounds of the engine.

Where can I get a model of the CH2 like that? Awesome informative videos.

The Cotton Patch , The model came with the airplane, I believe you may be able to find one from www.factorydirectmodels.com/custom-desktop-model/aircraft/. Good luck and thanks for your comment. Regards, Wayne Whitley

Had my first flight lesson in a Challenger II this past weekend! Great video, curious how you record the radio communications between you and your brother? Just a Y-splitter to branch off to a recorder? Thanks for your input, would love to record audio on my next lesson! Best Regards from Ontario, Canada!
@highlanderpilot51553 жыл бұрын
The "splitter" plugs into the AC headphone jack and taps off some of the audio for the recorder and sends the rest to the headset. Depending on how sensitive the recorder is, (most don't like high audio levels, - should be 250 mV rms or less) the headphone audio can be reduced with a simple audio transformer, say 1K to 8 ohm. available from Mouser or Digi-key. The one that Wayne uses also has a variable resistor (pot) to further adjust the level. PM me for further details.

Well done , do you not have any altimeter or airspeed gauges sitting in the back ?
@WhitleyVideos3 жыл бұрын
Andrew, there are no instruments in the back, you just have to try to see the panel in front of the pilot. Regards, Wayne Whitley

Was this aircraft a SLSA Challenger or was this specific one an ELSA Challenger? Reason I ask is I thought CFI's could only train and be paid using a SLSA.
