Powered by 2 loops of 3/32" FAI Tan Super Sport rubber with a 7" diameter Peck-Polymers propeller. Next time out with this model I will remove some washout from the left wing and install a Gizmo Geezer adjustable nose button for better precision in thrust adjustments.

Thanks for the vdo. I love flight trimming vdo's. Also thanks for showing the installation of a gurney flap and showing its effect. It will definitely up my game!

I'm concentrate so hard on making my wings perfect I didn't realize how easy it is to fix it with just a little piece of balsa wood glued to the wing here and there

Down and right thrust seems to be very important once you get your plane going

Great little trim session and narration! Impressive how the plane seems to just hang on the prop and mush instead of stall, thinking it’s related to the tandem wings and washout. Pierre Mauboussin knew what he was doing!

Interesting trim session. Thanks for posting. When the wind finally subsides next week in Central Europe, I can finally try out the effects of the Gurney Flaps.

The small turning radius may have some relationship with the length of the fuselage
@sandfac3427
@sandfac3427 3 жыл бұрын
I think so too. The models I’ve built with longer fuse have larger turning radius

Why did you move the C.G back ? Not a criticism but I wondered what the thinking was behind it.
@sandfac3427

I think it was to improve the glide, since the model went slightly nose-down after power ran out on the flight before. Not sure if it was the right thing to do - next time I fly I will start with test glides again and try to adjust thrust more for trim

Did you braid the motor?
@sandfac3427
@sandfac3427 3 жыл бұрын
Yes! It is 30" of 3/16" rubber, forwarded braided with about 140 turns in each strand.
