Hands down, one of the best games available for the C64 system. So many fond memories.

Excellent showcase of the game and the secrets, but you missed out on at least one - the giant turtle on stage 3. It's similar to the turtles of stage 5, except that it covers a third of the screen. On stage 3, go to the right as far as you can, then turn back, and there's a chance that the giant turtle will be there. You can spawn it continuously, and by farming it you can get a high score far larger than by beating the game (as long as you don't mind dying to a timeout on stage 3).

Now this is probably the most nostalgic I've ever felt about a game. I was 12 years old when this released. I was so impressed by the graphics at the time but, the music was the star of the show.

Holy cow that could be made this year and alot of it wouldn't be out of place! I have very little to zero experience with the hardware and it's history/ software library but I'm glad i watched this while writing! The main menu visually prepared me for something entirely different in my mind lol i thought it was like old man plumber giana sisters or something! The title theme was amazing. Nice energy and sound! I wish I owned it... (6:46 AM NY time Monday July 31st 2023 - 124 likes 6,486 views 4 years ago posted 25 comments (this 26th) 70.8k channel subscribers)

One of my favourites. I’ll need to go back to my video of it, to see if I was close to the hidden scrolls.

This is basically a 'remix' of Hawkeye, but I love it nonetheless & fondly remember playing it on my C64 in the early 90's. Lovely colourful graphics, parallax scrolling & an awesome soundtrack, what's not to like ?

Something's not quite right here... The cartridge version bundled with the C64GS has three more games on it (Fiendish Freddy's without an intro, Klax and International Soccer) and definitely misses Flimbo: The Story. You must have played a community made EF release, which takes the GS version and adds the story section before the game. But still the most complete release is an original floppy: it's also has Flimbo: The Story (that's where the guys behind the EF version sourced it) and the first loader shows a scrolling information. Later loads are done swiftly during the bonus phases, so it plays exactly like the cartridge version - you can't even tell it's multiloading in the background. So this one's the definite edition for me.

It is the EasyFlash release - I just assumed the release was the same as the retail cartridge release because of the format; I've updated the description 🙂

Thanks a lot - now it's perfect! I knew it because I've just finished playing through the whole C=64 games library, comparing all existing releases of each game (both originals and cracks) and selecting the best versions for my personal collection, which took me quite a few years. Like I said in one of my previous comments, I really love your work, but with such a vast knowledge sometimes I can be a completely anally-retentive perfectionist who always knows better. :P Please keep them coming, for the glory of the best 8-bit computer on the planet.
