Today MJ and I are unboxing, setting up, and reviewing the Fling-ama-String: a mechanical cat toy that claims to be the "best cat toy ever!*" Thrill as MJ plays, marvel at Ian's problem solving abilities, and sit back and relax to some smooth jazz. This was a very focused and well planned out video.

I feel that the toy even at speed 1 is too fast for the cat. It gives her almost no time to play with the string before it loops away :< Kitties like to play around and grab things

Yeah I noticed that she probably prefers the feather toy because it gives her something to grip, bite and kick, which is a natural part of play for cats! That's also why people don't recommend lasers, because cats need something to "catch".

Yeah, and my cat Ralph is a real idiot so he takes a while to buffer before he pounces on anything. By the time he's decided a plan of action, the string on this toy would have gone in and out about 8 times (and also I bet he would lose interest by then lol)
