I felt the same way you described when I first saw Acheulean hand axe at my university, and at that moment, I fell in love with prehistory.

@@apondas399 Ahh but those handaxes are extra special. I think that’d make anyone even remotely interested in history get into lithics. Maybe! Or perhaps us rock nerds are all a little bit “special” 😁

I live in the US and I’m an avid point hunter. I found my first Celt last year, and it’s a beauty. 2-7/8” (73mm, roughly) long and a cutting edge of 1” (25mm). Opposite the cutting edge it tapers to a ground point. I’m jealous of you guys in Europe. The oldest tools that we may have an opportunity to find would be 13,000 years BP. They have, however, found a site near San Diego, CA that may date to approximately 116,000 before present. But alas, I’m in SC on the east coast. Love your channel that I just found yesterday. Upload, upload, upload!!!

@@robbertram3310 Haha hey man welcome aboard 😁 that Celt sounds epic! My best one is in the intro, found in 2022. Don’t be toooo jealous of me with regards to the dates. The oldest stuff I find is mostly 13,000BP, sometimes 14-15,000 but that’s rare as heck. Over in the UK where I’m from they find seriously old stuff. Up to 1m years 🤯 Now I need to google this site in San Diego!
