Messed up a lvl 5 elk earlier. Went for the heart with the drilling gun bc I was to impatient to wait and he was Already Alert. Hit single lung and he was a 866 gold 🙁

With full perks a double lung with the Hawk Edge should always give full quick kill. I think that's the case out to 40m. One of the many things I experimented with during a bow only stint. Kind of hoping we get a ridiculously heavy bow in the future, maybe an 80 pounder based on the Hoyt Helix so that taking down Moose without forcing a heart shot isn't out of the question.

Killed a diamond elk today, but while looking for consecutive someone claimed it. 955 diamond and 3 weeks of grinding plus an hour of tracking for nothing. On the plus side last night I killed a 957 Blacktail

Ya if I find diamonds I usually don't tell people. People like to troll and it can be frustrating. It's better to just go a couple kilometers away from others and hunt so you don't have to worry about it. Sorry mate, i've had this happen multiple times both on accident and on purpose.

Don't give up though, multiplayer servers for some reason seem to have more diamonds. I have no proof of this whatsoever but it really feels that way. Much more so than my own reserves offline.

Hey you there are you tired of shooting animals in the lungs and messing up a massive dimonad. Well you can to the right comment. This is what you do you shoot them in the neck. You will drop them every time. It has to be in the neck bone. You can shoot them anywhere in the neck. Flinter if you see this please make this into a video. This needs to shared.

Honestly the console version is trash compared to the pc. The amount of tracks animals is nuts it seems to run wayyyy smoother. You pc can take a heart shot and it be a heart shot on console it's so buggy its insane I took a heart shot on animal the other day didn't dropped so I tracked it and the game said I shot it in the ass so it's a hit or miss if your gonna even get a good shot regardless if you take the best shot of your life.

A tip to all the new players who dont have the binocolour with the meter on it. When you see a animal u wanna sneak up to, use the waypointer, it tell u the distance and you know which way to crawl

So I'm at a loss. I've had the game for a long time now. But. I've only shot 2 diamond rank animals. I've tried everything. Zag tactics. Shooting higher ranking males. Etc. Yet still no diamonds. I'm at a loss as to what to do now.

The trurack elks are much smaller. I got a 958 nontrurack and a 986 trurack, and the 958 is much bigger. The trurack is only the size of a 860 non trurack

I wish that the entire archery supply would be upgraded. At the very least remove that stupid mechanical sound when you back out of a draw and switch to binoculars (or any other hand held). Lighted nocks would be 🔥🔥🔥
