Gahendra Rifle - Wikipedia The Gahendra Rifle is a .577/450 Martini-Henry breech loading military rifle manufactured by gunsmiths of the Nepal Army under the direction of General Gehendra Shamsher JBR in the early 1880s. The design is a modified version of the 1869 Westley Richards patented design. -I'm hoping this doesn't just become another .470 lol.

Irl It has a 400 meter effective range and open sights and not sure if we get a scope or use muzzleloader scope and fire rate 12 rounds a minute 480 grain 1400fps 1900 flb. .577/450 Ouch

Beat me to it, I was just researching some nepalese made guns that could be added along with the new map (before the reveal) and came across the Gahendra rifle. Most of the parts to the Gahendra rifles were not interchangeable since there were custom fit and the production rate was very limited.

As a Zoologist of 8 years, I have ABSOLUTELY no clue what they mean about a "Large Tahr." If the Himalayan Tahr has the next Great One then maybe the model would be based off some species of Takin (a large relative of Tahr) but then again EW could have just added them as a new species. SUPER EXCITED FOR SUNDAR PATTAN!!!

Those tiger and snow leopard shots are incredible. As a cat lover, I just can’t hunt tigers and leopards. I hunt all the COTW maps and refuse to shoot lion, pumas, mountain lions, just can’t do it but glad to see they are in the game, and I’m sure the in-game warden will talk about the conservation efforts for snow leopards particularly

The new Rifle looks like a Martini Henry. If that’s the case, then it should shoot a very large rifle caliber around the same size as the .470 in game. And if we can add a scope to that puppy, that thing is going to be fun 🤩

As far as I know, there won’t be any backfilling with this map. That means unfortunately, no Tahr on Te. The species that we know are on the map are: Wild Yak Bengal Tiger Snow Leopard Barasingha Himalayan Tahr Himalayan Blue Sheep Water Buffalo Blackbuck Northern Red Muntjac Nilgai Tibetan Fox (Probably) Graylag Geese

This looks so good. I’m so excited that there’s multiple climates and stuff. Jungles with tigers, river with swamp deer, then the mountains with snow leopards and stuff. Hopefully they can up the render distance so we can do farther shots

I think it's safe to asume that blackbuck getting updated means it will also be included in Sundarpatan. So the roster so far is 1 Tiger 2 Snow leopard 3 Barasinga 4 Muntjac 5 Yak 6 Buffalo 7 Nilgai 8 Bharal 9 Blackbuck 10 Tibetan fox 11 Tahr 12 ? 13 ? I think the remaining animals will be small game, most likely a goose we saw in trailer, and then probably some pheasant, maybe a Himalayan monal.

@@tagus100 northern Tanzania is the OG of real life safari destinations. It literally started there. In actuality, it’s very difficult to find a free range area with all of the Big Five. But it’s a great area for buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena, and many plainsgame not found anywhere else.

We're getting a Tibetan Fox!!! You're the 1st thats found that out. I've loved them since seeing them on a BBC wildlife doc. They are so unique and cool looking. Maybe we will also get Marmots or Plateau Pikas, which are rodents that they hunt...

The new rifle is essentially a martini-henry falling block. Generally chambered in 577/450 or .303 British, but considering they said big bore I'd be leaning more towards the 577/450

The single Shot Rifle is called the Martini-Henry. Entered service for the British in 1871. Most likely Shooting the .577/450 It’ll be a hammer for sure.

I own one of “Gandhare” rifles irl, but it is in too bad of shape to shoot, so I’m stoked to get one in game. To find the irl counterpart it is a Gahendra (unless I am quite confused). The Nepalese designed take on the British Martini Henry. 577-450. So classes 7-9 maybe?
