Hey John! Great hunt, good shot, and congratulations! Thanks for sharing. I’m trying to get my last doe with a recurve, so hard to see them in daylight in late season. I’m shooting good for only a month with the new bow, need some luck now.
@SufferingOutdoors14 күн бұрын
Good luck Scott! I heard you got a recurve. It is tough but very rewarding when you connect!

Nice video and a great hunt with the flintlock. I love it. I'm in Northeast PA and it's just been too cold for me to get out so far. Maybe this next week I'll be able to get out.

Awesome video my man! Glad for all the content you managed to capture. I know it's not easy!! Great shot, I shoot small ones over big ones anyhow over unpopular opinion.
@SufferingOutdoors14 күн бұрын
Thanks man! Doing a video is a lot of work and makes the hunting much more challenging. The small ones do taste better and its generally better for the deer heard by leaving the breeder does alone.

Congratulations! We hunted winter archery growing up. We were very excited when flintlock season showed up. No more frozen right hand, lol. Nice cinematography. How’d you keep the drone batteries from dying in the cold?
@SufferingOutdoors4 күн бұрын
No frozen right hand or worries about not being able to pull the bow back. I’ve ran into that too archery hunting late season. I kept the batteries in my pocket with hot hands. Kept them warm until I launched the drone. Then had about 15-20 minutes before batteries got low. First time I tried to fly the drone in the winter it wouldn’t even take off because the battery was too cold.

Awesome video! What size Winnerwell Nomad stove is that? I’m looking on getting the same tent, did the stove do the job on that frigid night? Thanks.
@SufferingOutdoors12 күн бұрын
It’s the medium sized one. It works great keeping the tent cozy. It was in the low 30s outside. I had to feed it about every 2-3 hours overnight so I would wake up a little cold when the fire burned down. It’s a great stove besides it is heavy. If you want lightweight, I think the pomolly is lighter.

@ great info thank you.
@davidwashousky44083 күн бұрын
This was an awesome video! I'm inspired by the hot tent for late season. With your stove, did you run a flashing kit or just run single wall through the stove jack on the tent? I'm looking at the winnerwell in medium or large. The large fits 16 inch pieces of wood, which is appealing. Thanks and awesome video!
@davidwashousky44083 күн бұрын
And... Did you need to buy extra sections of single wall to get high enough in the rock fortress?
@SufferingOutdoors3 күн бұрын
I did just the single wall chimney through the tent jack. It is long enough for that tent without needing extra sections. Thanks!
