Yep...there are a lot of things in vitamins that can outright kill you if you overdose on it. They use beta carotine instead of raw vitamin A (which is toxic if you get too much - beta carotine the body can convert into vitamin A but will excrete any extra), so that part isn't too bad, but you could easily overdose on iron from vitamins.

It's actually kind of wild that Flintstones Vitamins are still around. When was the last official Flintstones media, the live-action movie in 2000? It's been over 20 years since then. Children have grown up without ever having seen any of the Flintstones, had children of their own, and are now giving those children, who have also never seen anything of the Flintstones, Flintstones Vitamins. Sure, there are other old series that have stuck around like Scooby Doo and a bunch of Disney properties, but at least they have relatively recent continuations/associated media.

But also, works published after 1929 don't enter public domain for nearly 100 years, largely due to the efforts of Disney to maintain their stranglehold on Mickey Mouse. For people who may be curious, overdosing on vitamins is possible and can be dangerous. Some vitamins will harmlessly pass through your system if you eat too much, others will wreck you. Vitamin A is particularly dangerous because you can continue overdosing on it without realizing. One overdose can cause a bit of mild fatigue and muscle weakness which may be accompanied with joint pain. If you don't get the joint pain, you could easily just think you're a bit sleepy. If you have arthritis and get the joint pain, you may assume it's just a bit of a flare-up associated with your sleep being a bit less restful than usual. If you keep overdosing on vitamin A because you don't realize it's the cause of your symptoms, it will keep building up in your liver until you experience sudden liver failure which could potentially be fatal. If you aren't certain whether you have any vitamin allergies, an overdose will also mean a worse reaction. Just for one of many examples, those vitamins contain zinc. A typical allergic reaction to zinc is an itchy rash which is in no way threatening. If somebody with a zinc allergy were to take too many Flintstone vitamins, that allergic reaction could be elevated to swelling of the airway which can block oxygen from reaching the lungs. In the words of Paracelsus, "All things are poison, and nothing is without poison; the dosage alone makes it so a thing is not a poison." In spite of their bright colors, cute shapes, and the fact they are made for kids, they need to be taken just as responsibly as any other medicine.
