They said it pulled 12 G's regularly injuring people's necks. 12gs is INSANe, more than double any coaster in operation today. 😅

That vertical loop is cursed lol. Just makes you realize what it felt like and gives you an idea just how intense it was.
@alecday3775 Жыл бұрын
Its interesting that Inversions on coasters went from being rarities back in the day due to them being too intense to being one of the most common elements seen on coasters through many an innovation with Arrow Dynamics bringing the modern clothoid design to the loop (along with the tubular steel track) and other improvements to rollercoasters to bring the Gs down to comfortable and safe levels to now inversions being seen on woodies again thanks to Gravity Group and their Timberliner trains with Mine Blower at Fun Spot Orlando and Hades 360 at Mt. Olympus in the Wisconsin Dells being 2 examples of modern inverting woodies like this coaster clearly was. It is really interesting to look at how public perception of inversions on rollercoasters have changed for the better over the years going from being THE ABSOLUTE MOST HATED to one of THE ABSOLUTE MOST LOVED elements on rollercoasters.

I built something like this with the wooden coaster In roller coaster tycoon with only two cars per train in Forest Frontiers as a very old timer amusement park from 1890's to 1950's classic rides! Turned out really good guests will ride it until it crashes!

Hi, I love your video, it's really realistic. I'm currently researching the flip flap for my studies, and I wanted to ask you where you found all the information (height, length... ) on this coaster? I'm looking for the patent but haven't found it yet.

I think I eyeballed most of it, which is the case with a lot of my recreations. I found some really good photos showing the whole thing (not that there was much to see), and the rest I estimated compared with the people standing nearby.

how does small loop make so much Gs
@RaptorAlex Жыл бұрын
It was tight and circular. Instead of coasters like today, in which the loops are clothoid shaped (the entrance and exit are more elongated than the top, which makes for fewer G's and a smoother experience), these very old loops were a circle. That meant the G's were felt immediately and were sustained. They also had to go fast enough so they didn't roll back or go too slowly at the top, so they were small.
