Just to let you know: Flip only works with pedestals which already existed upon entering a room (Item room, Planetarium, devil/Angeldeals) but Not on pedastels that spawned Like the Boss item, golden chests or beggar items.

My Adventures in Repentance: Challenge: Lights Out! Character: Isaac Objective: Mom First Item: Explosivo First Devil Deal: Guppy's Collar This run was a fun one. The challenge kicked me in the teeth a few times before I got this run. Explosivo continues to be a hard carry item as I stick it to an enemy and go find the next target. I got guppy and gnawed leaf on the final floor, and an orbital fly from a gambling machine. I stayed invincible for the mom fight, got the trophy, and unlocked Hagalaz. Take care, Mosh Pit!

With glitched crown, you can pause the game and get the specific items you want. Just spam pause until the item you want is on screen and then before unpausing, hold the direction button towards the item. It's not perfect, but rather than it being about timing (your current method) it becomes about spacing. Spacing is much easier to learn than timing.

Sin instead of just waiting with glitched crown, get as close as you can without touching it, open the pause menu on the beginning of the item you want, then unpause and grab as fast as you can. Basically secures the item you want from glitched crown.

I would say only go for angel deals and a little trick with the void is that if You Buy an item and it's bad or You don't want it You can void it while you're in the animation of picking it up hope this helps a little

That early key drought made me excited for a potential Planetarium. And then the game finally relented and gave Sinvicta a key. Oh well. =P It was certainly an interesting run, though! Not a lot of great items, and Sin had to flip coins and roll dices just to get something approaching an okay-ish set. And then there were the shenanigans. Still, a 1c shop item is not that usual, so that was definitively a highlight. =D
