It'll take less than a minute to get the home screen after clicking on the remote switch on button. It's necessary to switch on always using the remote in this TV. The Chromecast feature is awesome. Initially pairing wasn't done properly and once done everything was perfect. And it'll go only to the home screen every time u switch on even if the powercut happened. Hope I answered ur questions.
