One of my fondest memories is seeing them play this song on the Tonight Show. Johnny stood up at the end and applauded, which almost never happened with a guest band. And yet Letterman never had them on his show. Just goes to show.

Ted's guitar sound 👍 Every time I'd see him while he's working at the practice space I used to have band practice at, we'd get into crazy stories and shit of the sort. I remember one time he saw me trying to find some half smoked cigarettes from the ashtray and he tells me "Probably time to give that habit up". I turn to him and said "Ted, you were in flipper for fucks sake. You can't say shit". He stood there for a sec and chuckled before responding with "fair enough. You got me there" and went back to work. Always thought it was funny that he did work for storage/practice space at the spot. He took care of all the vegetation and what have you on the grounds and he's got some long ass dirty dreds now so most don't recognize him at first. If my friend didn't work there and tell me who he was, I never would've figured. If you find yourself in Oakland, look up Soundwave studios.

That's awesome. Yeah, Ted Falconi's guitar work is mind-blowing. He really deserves more recognition. I wish I could play this shit for a good friend of mine who passed, an old yippie drifter who was in my opinion the greatest guitarist who ever lived, the Pied Piper for all the skater punks of our little desert town. He loved punk rock, too, but was mostly into stuff like Bert Jansch, Johnny Winter, Albert King... He would have lived Flipper.
