If I had to guess, I'd say the reason they're not building in a wifi (or esp) module is to retain certain levels of compliance, and who would block/ban it. They're already walking a thin line on that aspect, and likely would want to do everything they can to stay on this side of that line, in the most places they're able to. It's one thing to have that as a development option it's another thing to have it built in. I'm guessing that's why they never made a stand alone esp module, aka: a dedicated 'plug and play' wifi board.

Are you referring to RFID technology or credit cards?

If im not wrong you can just read it (except the CVV), but cannot emulate. Therefore an hacker can only use it to buy online but he will need your name, the cvv and in some cases additional informations to make a purchase, correct me if im wrong. I don't know if it works like this on every kind of credit cards or just debit cards or prepaid idk

​@@swolefishySure, you can capture the signal. Even if the protocol somehow isn't supported, you can still record raw at minimum. In addition, some rolling code implementations are broken, so that's something for you to look into
