What's it like in rough water,please? A boat this size might suit me perfectly for fishing the skerries banks and the ocassional wreck trip offshore in summer weather.

I've had it out in 3 ft waves, it was fine until I stopped. Then the boat rides up and down on the waves, it tosses you around. In 2 ft harbor chop it does fine but you have to slow down to reduce the pounding. I've been in 19 ft v hulls in the same conditions, I think any 19 ft boat will pound in chop and toss you around in 3 ft waves. The boat is just not heavy enough to ride smooth in rough seas.

How has this boat held up over the past 3 years?
@johnenglish66816 жыл бұрын
The boat has held up well. I have had to touch up the paint from scratches. I made a cover that covers the open area from the pilot house to the transom. This keeps water from ever pooling up on the decks. I did have one crack in the glass on the transom, I repaired by adding two layers of 23 oz tri-axle glass and repainting the area.

Hmm, will this work with a 30 ton steel workboat?
@johnenglish66817 жыл бұрын
Imperial Security Bureau I don't think so. You would need a stronger jig and a crane!
@imperialsecuritybureau60377 жыл бұрын
Hehe, for sure.

I am thinking a gin pole with some block and tackle would make this a one man job...... John, how many hours did you have into it to get to this point?
