i used to bullet journal with monthly themes and i eventually stopped because needing to draw for hours every month was too intimidating. because of your channel, i'm starting to bullet journal again, but without forcing myself to draw so much! you've changed my perspective on what a bullet journal can be, and i thank you for that!!

@@g1anna.c I say only do hours if you feel good about it. Otherwise only do what you have to. Some lines, a fun stamp - good to go.

I love the simplicity of your spread! When I first tried bullet journaling, I was sucked in by all the artwork and themes, and it definitely got to be too much, and I ended up not bullet journaling for a while. I later came across a creator who made bullet journal sticker sets, I gave journaling another try, and I love bullet journaling now! With using the stickers, all I have to do is plan the layout and pick colors that fit the stickers, and Im set! It still takes me a bit to set everything up, but I love how everything turns out in the end!

I love reflection videos, maybe even more than "how to set up a spread" videos. I think I get a lot more practical inspiration from them, so thanks! About your index, I set up a separate index for monthly and weekly pages/spreads, which works really well for me. That way if I do need to reference them, they are easy to find.

Thank you so much! I love these too - it's great to see them set up, but how they are used are even more exciting to me.

Goodies! I went back to the A&O site and found an 8x8, marked down! So, thanks to your discount code, I saved a few dollars more! This will be the fanciest journal for my Scripture writing I have ever owned. I'm so excited! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

for my work planner, I use a colored pen for the month, on my Monday to Friday of the calendar is the colored pen, the weekends are gray to help differentiate, I hope this helps

Could you get a small calendar to keep in the pocket of your bujo and that's where you write which ink/pen combos you used when? Or too out of sight, out of mind?

I love the 8x8 journal. The small grid is perfect for me, but by the time I realized they existed, they were sold out! I am new to the community, so I am not familiar with all of the companies who create planners and journals. I like what I have seen on the A&O website, as well as Laurel and Denise. I would probably buy from A&O because I like their journals. I'm not a busy person anymore, so I only need a planner to keep track of doctor appointments, prescription refills, and birthdays. It's hard to cook for one, so I don't need meal planners. I do a great deal of Scripture writing, and I needed a way to help me keep track of the different sermon series's and who taught them. I am satisfied with the cheap system I have been using to write out the sermon notes. I don't do stamps, and I am not into the fountain pen craze, thank goodness. I enjoy watching your creativity and the fact that you aren't afraid to constantly tweek your system. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do in the upcoming year.

So am I understanding correctly - you've kind of combined your work and personal journal together? Thanks for this video!

Love the video, but funny aside. I work in product management at a technology company and we use confluence, jira, etc and I deal with our UX using Figma... I've never been watching one of my nerdy planner/stationery videos and been reminded of work before. LOL

Hopefully I didn't trigger anything about work and the real-life struggles of product management and design, haha. Thanks for checking out the video and being a part of the nerdy planner crew ;-)
