Hey man! Some of my favourite bands from the 80's were straight off of the strip. Ratt were always my fave, but I also loved Cinderella, WASP, Tigertailz, etc. My favourite era of rock n' roll!

+shaggy2dope666 Yeah I really like WASP and Ratt also. WASP were really good live the one time I've seen them (way back when they were opening for KISS). Love the Crue also... and I remember the effect they had on women during the Shout at the Devil era... good times :)

Oh, without a doubt. Those bands held all the female keys. I completely agree with you concerning Shotgun Messiah, too. Second Coming outdid the first album by leaps and bounds. Heartbreak Boulevard was the anthem! Was great to see "Tim Tim' take things to a better level.

+shaggy2dope666 Yeah I really enjoyed watching Tim evolve - I loved the direction of the third album and liked his Skold solo album too ... and it was funny to see him playing bass for KMFDM and then switching to vocals for his own songs... But Second Coming was great, very good production and some pretty cool guitar riffs in there as well. Lyrics I could relate to also. Wow, has it been 23 years already??

Thanks for the tip! Found a listing for the HM Stratocaster on Guitar Center :) Seriously considering grabbing one... the reissue has better pickups and comes with a Floyd Rose! Although that bolt-on neck is a little disappointing (I've had neck-through guitars for years now and I love the feel). Ha ha those colors, day-glo ice blue or yellow XD

+WhatisASMR man such a different time period it blows my mind. I'm 23 years old and I know quite a few people that'll blow $3-4K on a custom built like its nothing. back then it was just play what you could afford (just plug in and play) type of thing, right?

+Kyle Shirie For me it certainly was - I still don't have a custom guitar and I played professionally for 5 years :) When I was just learning guitar, the joke was the guys that had the best most expensive equipment couldn't actually play all that well, while the dudes that made do with what they could get would often have the talent and also practice a lot harder. Now that I'm learning to be a racing driver it's sometimes the same thing - the guys who have the really nice suits and custom helmets and all that, are often the guys you'll keep lapping all day long LOL It's pretty awesome though when you meet someone that has all the nice gear and is really good - that's the inspiration that makes you want to go back and work harder on your own skill...

I could not stand most of the eighties music that they played on the radio here in the UK, but I loved rock music and live concerts, Anyway, as always, another great video, very interesting... But, then you could read out the phone book and make it interesting...

+christopher town Thanks so much my friend, glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I didn't like a lot of music the first time around in the 80s, though some of it is now nostalgic in a weird way so I sort of enjoy it now. I think playing Vice City did that for a lot of tunes ha ha
