It's because people sell off their gearsets collecting dust in the bank before Leagues (and players returning to OSRS bring items back into the market that have been on inactive accounts) More of an item being traded = price drops

It's like investing in gold - it just goes up, but you pay the premium of 10%, so you need to hold it for a while before it starts bringing profit. If you do that, make sure you make them tradeable before leaving them

dunno, is ranging from 5mil to 6 mil, im lvling ranged to 85 or more and going to use the new hunter xbow to try and get a fang, the new xbow have the same speed and damage as the Magic shortbow but you can equip a shield for defence and ranged bonuses, the bad thing is that ammo is more expensive than rune arrows and almost same price as amethyst

Any time is a good time to buy a blowpipe. It is anywhere from BiS to 2nd or 3rd best depending on the content and once you can wield it you will use it for basically all ranged combat until Bowfa and/or TBow. The price is sort of irrelevant TBH, at a certain point you will just need a blowpipe if you want to progress. If you’re weighing the blowpipe against other upgrades like the toxic trident or similar, then it will depend on the two upgrades you’re comparing and the type of content you’re interested in doing. But the blowpipe is a significant DPS increase over crossbows due to the attack speed (in most situations) so my guess is that it will provide you the most benefit of similarly priced upgrades for any content that can be done with range. If money is tight and the content you’re looking forward to doing doesn’t feature ranged combat at all then don’t get the blowpipe, otherwise it’s probably worth it to pick up.

What I find with my blowpipe is that it's sort of a metaphorical hammer. Once you have one, everything starts looking like a nail, and most of the time you're right.

@@jaykelley103 100% the right move if you’re going to do fight caves, it’s arguably BiS regardless of DPS because of the heal on the spec, and the next upgrade is Bowfa + full crystal which is over 20x the price of the blowpipe.

I think percentage drops are more important when it comes to these things. a 500m item losing 100m is a much bigger drop than a 1.5b item losing 100m.

I know my 60-80k stack of iron ore has lost about 25% value, price was around 210 gp per, now its at aroun 150 gp. Coal does not seem to have the value loss

Dont worry about it bro, most of that value is locked in items that youre not gonna be selling anyways because they are BIS. Bank value is irrevelant in such cases, next update your items could boom in value and get you additional 50% bank value which again, youre not gonna sell the items so you dont profit from it at all. Its all paper value once u locked BIS items.

There's a clan that has many items. Saw a few people with 3k+ peg crystals. Another guy with 5b of each basic runes. A group of 1 clan can change the ge prices on anything within hours of ge together.

Nothing is crashing. The market is correcting for the fact that most recent content was balanced around midgame, making the demand higher but also more elastic than when updates typically cater to endgame. Doing Moons for 10m/hr wasn't sustainable for long, as average med level pvm tends to be much closer to 1m to 4m. The price of those items has to go down, which has a general effect on all other similar content. You'd know if the market "crashed" if gp/xp prices went up or if end game hoarding items with limited elasticity suddenly changed.
