At the moment I'm not sure what the exact meaning of "Certain NPC" means for the clue relic, and I assumed this would not include any coordinate clues that have you fighting like a Zammy Wizard. If those are all fine and clue tasks haven't been significantly pruned, Clue Compass is by far the best relic of the tier.

I'm guessing it just won't work on the steps where you have to say kill a monk at the monastary for a key or random ones like that but it'll still work for the once where you have to dig on site for the god guards to spawn but it'll be interesting to see! It likely means something like "You need to kill a guard to obtain the key to the dresser" so it won't teleport you to the guard to kill. That's my assumption.

As someone else has said, my interpretation of that bullet point is for clue steps that require you to get a key by killing an npc. Example: kill a chicken to get a key and unlock the chest in seers. I guess it’s because it doesn’t matter what chicken it is. (you could do ranging guild or lumbridge farm etc etc)

After completing Tai Bwo Wannai Trio, you can teleport to the TBW STASH unit and restore prayer at the Tribal Statue. There is also a STASH unit in the Enchanted Valley that is relatively close to a fairy ring

Burning Amulets, teles on Ancients/Arceuus/Lunars/Wilderness Crab/Reveants tele scrolls/Obelisks/Wilderness Sword/Dueling ring; Ring of returning to Ferox/ Games Necklace to Corp/ Edgeville Lever/Canoes. Like If there is one region you don't need teles to teleport to it is the wilderness. The biggest thing has always been how to get out, which has now been made possible for all the relics. If anything it feels like these relics might mean no return of Last Recall since they all seem to give pretty quick if not instant teleports to at least 1 or 2 banks.

Such a hard choice this year! I had so much fun with fairy flight and I know those teleports pretty well from last leagues, but the clue hunter one is so interesting despite the fact I'm not as interested in clues, and then bank trleports just sound amazing!

My initial thought was taking the mushroom, but the more I think about it, the more I'm sure I'll actually be taking the clue relic as long as mory remains my raid region. Being able to tele directly next to the barrows chest will make the grind so much less painful, and there's so many other nice locations. Edit: as far as getting back to the outside of barrows, it doesn't take much to make a barrows teleport portal in your poh, and if last recall comes back, you can use that to teleport back to where you teleported from with your compass. I think the portal will require either zeah or the grimoire to make, however. Also, I do believe the strange old man is a hard clue scroll step. Worst case scenario, we'll have to grind the mory diaries, which is a good idea anyways.

Clue Compass if you hold onto the steps will let you teleport directly to Sara GWD, DKs, and puts you very close to Vet'ion and Venenatis.

One location I noticed that is going to be nice if last recall still has a time gate initially: the sawmill. You can endlessly teleport from Shilo to the sawmill to get your planks.

As you branch out regions, more have stash units either really close to a bank or next to the bank. Theres a stash in draynor village near the wine stall. Asgarnia has a stash in the bank of warriors guild Kandarin (if anyones actually picking that) has multiple stashes right next to banks

Trust me boys, get the compass relic if you wanna save time. I've used fairy's flight and the jewellery in previous leagues, and nothing felt quite as good as having a repeat step or getting that step you saved as your last recall in the middle of nowhere.

With the soul altar clue step and last recall, would that be competitive for RC xp? I'm not sure how those items work in terms of banking and what the optimized strategy would be compared to just doing something like recalling to any altar.

It's a bit weird since you'd still have to mine all the blocks with soul essence and if last recall exists you're better off just repeatedly going to a bank and altar and making like nature's or whatever else you have available

Not even joking if you don't take the clue compass you are a walker. The clue relic already gives you quick access to banks, I dont see the bank one being any better, you can always just teleport to a city itself, a lot of banks that are far out you would want to travel to are also clue locations. Just think of the time saved being able to insta tele to Crandor, Khrazi jungle, Castle Draken etc. Man i love this clue relic it has me so hyped for leagues!

Just the versatility from the teleport options make it good. Fairy rings spirit trees that is okay.. You always have the option of getting a specific step that brings you to a location you need, and then not completing that step for a while to use the teleport. Zilly, Fountain of rune, Double Rune Rocks, Nature/Astral Altar, Red Dragons, High Alch shop in W, 1 step away from a furnace. There are so many possibilities, Mudskipper point Fairy ring is also close to a stash unit. Something drastic would have to come along for me to not pick Compass.

Fairy's Flight served me well last year but I am fiending for Clue Compass rn. So many fun convenient little teleports near prayer altars and bank chests, you don't even lose easy fairy ring network access. I wonder if there'll be some niche usage for not completing some clue scrolls to keep where they teleport you to?

I feel the Tool Leprechauns were super underrated, Fairies Flight felt really great last time. That said... It feels underwhelming compared with the new ones now. It may still take a bit of further theorycrafting though, honestly they all seem really viable.

Fairies flight was arguably BIS last season with the addition of Tool Leprechauns. I think the Bank one is too similar to Globetrotter where it lets you tele places that already have good other teles. And if you care about just teleing very close to a bank...surprise The Clue Compass has a stash unit in Shilo Village bank, literally 2 steps away from a banker... Bank Heist I'm pretty sure is bottom tier

Fairy flight used to have a strong niche use case in wildy region, because teleports via fairy mushroom were unrestricted in very deep wildy and it was fantastic for that. It's nice they've balanced the other relics around deep wildy teleports this year so that they all work in deep wildy, which I guess makes fairy flight a little bit weaker than before

Last league I took the fairy teleports. It was nice in kandarin bc all the spirit trees and rings over there. But as someone who’s definitely picking varlamore and desert, I’m probably taking the clue relic. Like he said, there’s a good amount of stashes near banks or are convenient (shilo village, varrock square, entrance to GE, mor ul rek, draynor village, sophenem pyramid plunder- short run to TOA). Plus I enjoyed busting through clues. Only thing I’d need for teles within varlamore is the quetzal whistle and build the nests.

I was considering varlmore and morytania and the stash units seem less strong there. The bank tele could be the way to go for me. I’m thinking bank at heuycoatl, coliseum, cam torum, hunters guild, aldarin, TOB, canafis, burgh de rot, and a lot more. Haven’t settled on my final choice, but bank teles seem particularly strong for varly/mory

cam torum, coli, hunters guild, tob, canifis, and burgh all have teleports. clue scroll locations aren't just in your unlock regions, they're also in the starting regions. Bank teleport is strictly worse than clue teleport, a lot of stash units are literally next to banks.

I think the clue compass is pretty much a must if you have Wilderness as one of your regions. No leprechauns and only 2 banks. Plus just insta teleports to some of the most weirdest places in the game that always take a while to get to. Super nice

Teleporting directly to the clue step is one of the main draws imo. With how many points are locked behind clues, you can complete clues in a fraction of the time as people without the clue relic

Because (I assume) clues will be stackable, you could hold a certain clue step that has a teleport you want while you do that activity. To your point about Barrows, there's a hard clue step to talk to the Strange Old Man. Just hold that step and you have your tele to the outside, tele to the chest, and tele to the bank all sorted in one.

The Clue relic all the way, shilo bank's stash unit is right next to the banker and we all start with the area unlocked. Pair this with Total Recall and you have some insane endgame uses skilling and PvM wise.

I loved that all of them ignored wilderness restrictions, last leagues only the fairy one did that, the other one didn't work past lvl 20. The bank one seems bad mostly because there is some Stash units very close to banks. I agree that sadly i doubt there will be a clue scroll relic, i hope i'm wrong tho. Now i feel like going wilderness again, especially because i intend to go melee in this leagues for now

I know grimmoire was replacing globe throtter.. But I did not expect 3 different teleport relic instead.. wow This is gonna need real inspection.. Teleporting to your current step is huge, so many steps are SUPER out of the way where you dig to fight a guard... like the one well up the Relleka hunting area, which always was real annoying to get to. I can also imagine keeping 1 scroll of each tier, for specific "current step" teleport that are particularly good outside of doing scrolls.. (that you drop while actually doing clues).. as an additional good teleport for something like some skilling maybe. We need maps of both asap XD

I would have picked the bank briefcase but the fact that clue compass straight up solves every clue step tilts it over the edge for me too. It's 2 relics in 1. I'm not going to pick Asgarnia so don't need it for Nex either otherwise I would have thought about it longer. ToA and CoX teleports are nice too though but I'll get them eventually anyway.

ok think about this.... you teleport in and out of the barrows stash killing and looting the chest instantly for the one boss that spawns could be nasty

From first glance Bank Heist is a noob trap. It's just a crafting cape. The clue one for points.... and for lategame. There's a Stash inside lvl 7 room of PP. There's a stash inside GWD. There are stashes inside and close to banks. Many of them.

One of the Clue Stash's literally being right inside a bank, right next to a banker in Shilo just instakilled the Bank relic for me, unless you're in a region that has some particularly high value "weird" banks, it feels like most normal teles are going to get you to the areas with banks, and the Clue relic will get you as close to a bank if you just care about proximity to a bank

the clue relic is an absolutely massive ranged buff as it will make getting a blessed dhide set just ridiculously easy/fast to get

I think we will 100% still get a clue relic, or if not that then baseline buff to clue drop rates for everybody. If they want to keep the same kinds of clue tasks they had last year, I think a clue droprate buff is going to be required for completing those.

@ every clue relic in the past has had a huge clue drop rate buff which is what I was implying.

Yeah clue compass seem like a no-brainer if you're aiming for points and thus a bunch of clues. It also has teleport directly to Shilo bank.
