Thanks for the demonstration. Even though it's 3 years later it's nice to see it still holds up

I’ve had every wallet you got on the table, just got my flip side today and I was a little worried until I took it out the box and loaded up. And wow I was pleasantly surprised. One -I read a lot of comments that it was bulky, but it’s no bulkier than the one it’s about to replace. Two- people said it felt cheap, I can honestly say that even though it’s made of some type of molded plastic once you load it up it has a nice feel to it. It also forced me to get rid of all those old business card and receipts that I was caring around for absolutely no reason. My only complaint is that even though they seem sturdy and function properly the hinges and clasp to open and close the flip side look cheap. But besides that I like this wallet and hope it last a long time.

Solution for the Aluma wallet: fold your bills into thirds instead of quarters. Problem solved. I’m amazed you didn’t figure that out. Is there a money clip accessory available for the Aluma wallet? It is a shame it pops open so easily, when dropped.

I have been using the Jimi wallet for the past few years and it's been a fantastic wallet that has taken a *lot* of abuse. But it's time is coming to an end and I'm in the market for a replacement and I just can't find a hard case wallet with as much 5 star reviews as I can with the Flipside 3X. Thanks for the video, it just reaffirmed my thoughts about the wallet. Off to buy now!

great review! do you still use this wallet, how is it holding up? thanks
@darinadavis7 жыл бұрын
Jay C Yes. Still use it. Still works like new except for the rubber strap which is showing some wear. FWIW: I don't abuse it and carry it in my front pocket. Cashiers regularly comment on how neat it looks.

Darin Davis Replacement straps are available at their website. You can also get other attachments to replace the strap. I use the kick attachment. www.flipsidewallet.com/collections/accessories

What about the Tru Virtu wallets? Has anyone looked into them? I'm currently debating between a flip side wallet and a Tru Virtu wallet.

+Edward Cook I've had the Tru Virtu...not impressed. Really like my Flipside.

Flipside is good for carrying US $ , but not £ Sterling or Euros. The size of US $ are very practical , other Currencies should follow suit. What do you think guys ?

No
@InItForTheParking9 жыл бұрын
+nadergt1 True, but other countries have it right with the plastic feel notes. They last longer. Need a hybrid, our size and your material.

Just one question, how often do you drop your wallet? Just wondering, I have had alumni wallet for 10 years never dropped it. Thanks.
@InItForTheParking9 жыл бұрын
Skip the cheap wallets. Try the Tru Virtue or if you want slim The Ridge v2. Tru Virtue fits what you have here more but if you don't mind an elastic band or a money clip for cash retention The Ridge v2 is awesome.
@mkg599 жыл бұрын
+InItForTheParking Had the Tru Virtue and didn't like it at all. Credit cards fell out too easy and I hate that money has to be folded twice in order to fit...and barely at that. Much happier with the Flipside wallet.
@InItForTheParking9 жыл бұрын
Mark Gram Fell out? Sure if you open it upside down. But if you want ultimate retention because you can't tell up from down...cough cough...you could try the combat wallet from hell bent holsters.
@mkg599 жыл бұрын
I guess I should have made it more clear. The wallet wasn't upside down. When the wallet is opened, most any movement and the cards start to fall out.

Have you owned either or both wallets?
@InItForTheParking9 жыл бұрын
Yes, I currently own them. I also own the flipside and aluma wallet I also own numerous Jordan pockets, zip folds, money clips...as well as full size and cell phone sized planner wallets...some old check book wallets...I even own a few novelties such as the cascade (total garbage btw). Why do you ask?

Those according wallets suck, unreliable. The only somewhat minor drawback is that that flipside has no loop hole so you can tether it to your belt or pants. But flipside is coming out with their next version of the stow attachment that might have some way to attach your keys. Still an awesome wallet. Dango is another great wallet that is made in America.

that is very kind of you to make a commercial spot for the flipside wallet. But I really cannot imagine to sit on this fuck as I'm a big guy and usually carry my wallet in the back pocket of my jeans.
@darinadavis8 жыл бұрын
Thomas - You're right. If you sit on a hard shell wallet, it will be uncomfortable. I took the advice of my chiropractor years ago who advised me to keep my wallet in my front pocket. Sitting on (any kind of) a wallet tends to force the pelvis out of alignment and causes pain that requires chiropractic adjustment.
@thomaskingschillerlein78438 жыл бұрын
well... If you got pelvis-problems, I feel bad for you son. I got 99 Problems but the bitch ain t one! *ggg* No seriously... Due to my big ass I can sit on a "big" wallet... but not on a "thick" one like that shell in the vid. Check out the Bellroy Traveller Wallet... the one in brown, cocoa..or what that colour is... it s a SIN to spend a 100 Bucks on a f..in Wallet, dude... but... daaayum...dad wallet looks good! I m going to buy that one. thx for ya comment. greetings from Berlin/Germany.

There is a new version of the FlipSide called "3X". It has a "Stow" attachment for things like keys and coins. Their web site has a picture showing a "Stow" with both U.S. and Euro coins. www.flipsidewallet.com/products/flipside-stow-attachment

Yes, I found it later on and this was my top choice until I found out that Euros (larger bills and all other beside $ cant fit without bending it), Thanks for info
