I have not eaten for a few days since getting this game, I need to sleep and I cant, I cant wait to see how it progresses, lolz. Go ahead and make your lives a LOT easier and get Snjo's Automatic Crafter from the workshop, it is for want of a better word, amazing :] Also, make an Owners Pad, Save and if anything untoward happens to your grid you can Reset to that save point, (not including power usage in Adv game). As always a great video, I cant wait to see you get further into the meat of the coding stuff which is where this game shines very well, even for someone like myself who is a total noob in that respect. Also, I keep waiting for the clang and no clang happens :]

I wonder if the dev could add a feature for wiring where if you hold down a certain key it would place the wire on the opposite side of the face you are looking at, so that you could easily build wires into the blocks without going inside of them.

The prop play started. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for a giant snout to appear, with pitch control, to front mount it, so it could pull you up the mountain, angled slightly downward, to keep the front wheels on the ground.

It might be a good idea going for more uranium first and put an rtg on the rover. You could just float your boat to the uranium patch and then add a bunch of heavy stuff like steel to the rover to sink? How about making a moving solar panel with a hinge and/or rotor? I am sure even a rudimentary one could easily be made more aesthetic than in SE. You could easily modify your flipping hinge into a complete roll cage, just build two or three blocks off the side for clearance and then a rough rib cage over the rover. Whenever you turtle, you just flip your rib cage over to the side. I am really sad the stream got cut short, I hope we get lots and lots more of this game. (Do we have pistons here?)

I think at the moment w4sted and I are trying to do everything we can with vehicles and engineering and so far having a lot of fun with that approach. I'm sure he'd give me a bit of grief if I suggested temporary blocks for ballast (since he did the same when I used batteries to right my rover in space engineers) 😂

36:01 maybe fitting your seat upside down to wasteds will make you drive better. Had to watch this vid a little slower. The rover flipping in the mountains was hilarious, and the boat was even better. Shame about the shorter vid but power cut is a good reason why.

You could make the propellers fold away for sub mode with hinges or something and do a vertical takeoff from the water and kinda drop onto the ore (like the helicarrier from avengers) and kinda like what wasted was doing also this episode was too funny

If you make several more solar panels and you built a large enough platform then maybe you could make a solar farm though what size to make it would depend but it should theoretically allow you to get the most energy possible during the day the only problem is making enough batteries most likely using high voltage to be able to store it all and building a big enough room to store all the power you produce

Loving this series. Been trying to learn/play this cool game start is very grindy but fun. I hope the devs enable the beacon as a way to find your way back to base as I know I'll loose my way. I agree with you guys on the violence aspects, hope they keep it an engineering sandbox, keep the weapons out IMO will be more engineering fun.

That's what the beacon already does, but it's up to you to write the display part. I just display a line on my simple ore scanner / nav-map in the direction of the beacon. From their comments in their Discord, they prefer people to write programs rather than have things like a HUD that just does it for you.

I know you're playing adventure and would likely oppose this, but you can use the admin menu, F4, and warp to any frame you have in your world. As I learn the game, just knowing this exists put my mind at ease.

@@michaelreagan7149 The beacon has a broadcast channel, a receive channel and a text field that it can send. When you receive, you get the X, Y, Z coordinates and distance from the receiving beacon to the sending beacon. I'm not sure if you can change the channel or text with code; but I currently just set those with "V" on the beacon and use it to point at home from my vehicles. Y seems to be up-down in this game; so if you're drawing on a display, you would use the X and Z data points from the beacon.

@@michaelreagan7149 I think KZbin ate my reply; so if this is a duplicate, oops. You can set a beacon's data (just some text), send channel and receive channel. Receiving beacons get the X, Y, Z and distance from the receiving beacon to the sending beacon. The main thing that tripped me up at first was that Y in this game seems to be the vertical position. So to draw on your display, you'll want the X and Z from the beacon.

Hey , I don't know how to ask this, so I just ask. Is your other channel dead? It's been like a week since the last scrap survival, and 10 days ago was the last assertive posted. Also, are you planning any new tutorials? Those helped me a lot in the past.

It's more than a little unfair to say something is dead when I miss a single regular video (I was sick last week so couldn't record for it). As for the tutorials, I'm working on the next one but have had a lot of real life pressures in the past few months as my partner went back to work after maternity leave. Things feel like they're settling in again so I'm hopefully going to get the ball rolling properly soon 🙂

@Flipsie You are right; it was unfair, and I am sorry for it. The only thing that keeps me positive during my 7th or 10th night shift is watching your videos on my break. This tends to make me very impatient and forget that others have lives too, as I lack the time to play and be creative myself. Anyway, I am a big fan of your work, so keep up the good work 😁.
