I had the same issue trying to turn it on after unboxing (for iOS) on my channel.

The quick start guide doesn't mention that. It just says to go download the app from iTunes or Play Store. Minor detail, but not a quick start.

Don't point a camera on a phone screen. It's all reflection. Use TeamViewer Host to mirror the image onto a computer and capture from there.

Screen recording app is a better decision. I haven't used TeamViewer since they got hacked years ago.

Don't think so. You need the Flir app which had the drivers, but it's only available in Android and iOS. I would say maybe if you have a Mac or a Chromebook, but it's likely it won't.

Theoretically if it supports USB type c it should, but I don't know

Theoretically yes, but there is no software for it for Windows or Linux or Mac. In theory you could write your own software to interface with it (doubt there is any form of encryption or anything), but it would take some time and some programming skills and reverse engineering. It should be legal to do so in most countries. Or you could run an Android emulator on Windows or Linux and tell emulator program to hook this USB device to emulator. It can be done.

Since the hardware runs in an Android environment and the software already exists in the app store, emulator seems like the better option.

I'll give you a like for the effort, but I don't understand why just 1min of flir image? The review supposed to measure temperature of all kind of stuff, using the spotter, like go outside see the isolation of house, car engine, ac, plumbing, motherboard etc... Put it on a drone, see how your neighborhood looks. It's this kind of stuff a buyer will like to see on a review in my opinion.

why does this shit never charge above 85%?????? and i've noticed many people reporting Bricked "changeless" device after few months with no use ..

I haven't looked into the bricked devices but mine charged to 100% no problem. I would message flir if it's still under warranty you should be able to get a replacement.
