It's rare to find such a unique take on merfolk, and this is pure gold! I love the characterization and the backstory for both the listener and the merman. The idea of a total rager at Whalefall is an awesome detail and the idea that he morphs based on environment is so cool! This was great!

I will admit that I have fallen down backwards in a log jam…. Slowly. I hooked my foot one a log and lowered myself down but then I was completely stuck with one leg completely inside the logs. I had 10 lbs of rocks in my backpack to make jewelry. I absolutely need to go camping near a river soon!

This is honestly so charming 💕 He has a dark past but good humour and a kind voice, I'd visit him again for sure and with way better snacks (sharing food is my love language help). I also have a bit of a phobia of water due to getting dunked as a kid too, multiple times, so his calm and positive reassurances were so therapeutic 💕
