He is so smooth at it! From that one part of the video, I notice that most of what the pilot did was simply left aileron, right rudder, and a very precise use of the tilt function on the camera mount.

Done. It has controls for the tilt built into the autopilot software. It is a little disorienting at first, but you get used to it.

I think a really interesting episode would be if you guys put a gimble and gopro on this thing. Super steady hovering shots and really quick fly-over shots.

to help with the aileron you should use conventional ailerons and also use the engine torque like a horizontal quad

I know one of the Test pilots. I have also flown some of the various prototypes. Once you get use to how it responds, it flies great. And yes, it will carry a GoPro easily and take some nice video. I flew the plane via FPV as well with a transitioning camera rig.

I would like to see you guys make a VTOL plane that has a pivoting motor mount, it would have to be around the balance point on top of the wing but that should not be to hard. maybe have a motor in the nose too.

I like this thing. I am not sure what to call it. I fly quads and I like the fact that you can turn it into a flying wing in mid air. I can see this being a lot of fun to fly. Is it classified as a plane or a quad?

My low wing plane old red can yaw with rudder with no roll or pitch tendency . this is one awesome and one of a kind rc I have never seen one like this. Cool

You say the V/H flight transition is automatic. Does it automatically compensate for climb/descent during the transition? I ask because that was one of the problems encountered by the developers of the early tail-sitters such as the Convair XFV and the Lockheed XFY-1.

Absolutely thrilling. I kept thinking about something scaled up to the size of an A380. Hey, it looks a little like the "Wings over the World" sequence in THINGS TO COME. Wiki it. How would the flight envelope translate from 1.2m long to huge? The aerodynamic principles would be the same but the craft would have to be strong enough to withstand all sorts of odd stresses in all directions (like the quixotic V-22 Osprey). You're obviously going to be extremely dependent on lots of computer power.

make a fpv camera mount with tilt, so the camera is horizontal on take of. then when u flip the switch for flight it tilts so it is facing forward like on a plane.

It has that functionality built in. All you have to do is add the camera mount and connect the servo up to the autopilot on channel7.
