Been watching your videos and following you guys for a while now. I have a feeling that the second I buy one of your kits and power packs, it’s all over. I’m gonna probably wind up buying every single kit you guys sell and start designing my own. I love what you guys do and the fact you even put free plans on your site shows that you aren’t just in it for the money. Good to see a business that legitimately cares more about getting people into the hobby than making money. That’s how a good business *should* operate. People notice what you guys are doing and we appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts

What memories this plane brings back. I came across a magazine while station in Germany in the mid '70s that had a set of plans for the Pietenpol. I scaled the plans up to a 3 ft wing span. Made it from balsa as we didn't know much about foam back then. Put a Cox .09 w/ a 2 Channel Futaba radio. We flew that thing until it would not fly anymore from the weight of the 5 min epoxy repairs. Thanks.

I'm building the Pietenpol from your kit as I type. I find your video a great, great help. I have never been good at building models even when I was young. (64yrs). However your video makes the assembly a breeze. I will admit I have trouble with the 45 degree cuts, but I'm getting there. The only thing that wasn't quiet clear from the video was the rudder with the landing gear. I wasn't sure where the landing gear (tail section) was attached to the rudder. I ended up taping a piece to the rudder and making the tail section landing gear piece. Thanks for a great video.

This is a such a nice plane, I think this is the one Ill start off with. I grew up in Brooklyn and as a Kid I used to go to Gerritson Beach Flight field and watch the gas powered planes with my Dad.

Hi josh ,I like the petenpol , I built a balsa plan version , I still enjoy flying my petenpol aircamper , I've kept it repaired over the years , I enjoy your video,s and have picked up good tips from flite test videos , I'm a Christian too like yourself , when I was younger , I gave up model flying , but when I got older I realized I needed a hobbies , so I prayed lord shall I do model flying again ? Well my answer came to me , when my brother bought me a top flight bearcat kit , that was an answer to my prayer , God bless you all at flite test , from Tony McCarthy from bedfordshire England 👍😄

Going over the plans I think there maybe a mistake. The bevel cuts on the rudder and stabilizer appear to be showing to be done on the DIY Plans on the wrong edges? I just got the DIY plans and I am planning on building the FT Pietenpol this weekend. Thanks for the great plan, love this plane.

I was wondering if you need a certain type of hot glue gun to glue the foam because it would seem that the hot glue would just melt the foam. If I do decide to build this plane or any other plane of yours could I use CA glue instead of hot glue?
@magicalframe94417 жыл бұрын
Black HoleStudios any hot glue is fine. I would not recommend ca since it doesn't have the gap filling properties and the foam will soak up the ca
