Great attachment! Just wondering, is this solution consistent?
@theclueless112127 жыл бұрын
Scathach the Shadow - I have not yet programmed this attachment, but as long as the robot is in the correct position, it will always work.

Can I have some info on how the gearing is able to move the whole arm at times and only the spikes at times
@theclueless112127 жыл бұрын
Jj Sessa - first, the power is transferred from the motor into the worm gear, which travels through all the gears and chains all the way to the spikes. The spikes are spun using the power transferred from the motors, however, after the spike has gone a certain distance, it is stopped by a pin. Now that the spike can no longer spin, the power stops traveling down the chains and instead moves the entire arm up.

Your robot was big my teams last year was a lot smaller. That was really good
@theclueless112127 жыл бұрын
Trinity Robertson - thanks! But big is not always a good thing. A more compact robot is better, but you need to remember to keep all the important elements!

Mindstorms Man - SWARM how long did your robot take to make?
@theclueless112127 жыл бұрын
Trinity Robertson - it was built over the course of several days. Entirely, plus all the changes I made after I finished, probably around 3 hours.

Great video! But i'm not sure dedicating an entire run just for one mission is the best strategy
@theclueless112127 жыл бұрын
shvilego 390 - I am not dedicating one run, only one motor. I am just sharing an idea to complete this mission.

Can we use something other than the chain?
@theclueless112127 жыл бұрын
Azoozi The Croc - yes. You can just use normal gears, but I found it easier to use chains.

Latortue Jamescy - I do not have building instructions. I do not use ldd software. It is not hard to copy from the video. But still, fll is much about creativity as generating your own ideas. I just share the ideas I have.
