These values from my experience are good for about 18 months to about 2 years! I bought one and the flow stopped working. Per the company I took the turbine out of the valve cleaned it reinstated and it still wouldn't work. They sent me a replacement and it has worked for about the same length of time. I repeated the maintenance description above to no avail. So I guess I just have a very expensive electronic shut of valve. However I must say they worked very well up to that point.

What happens when you are on vacation and their is a storm and you have a power failure. Murphys law kicks in , you get a main leak or other leak. How will you be able to get a notification of a leak ? How will Moen live up to its brand ?

Moen makes a back up battery for their Flo ecosystem. You can also have your router on battery backup since most Internet providers also run on battery backup.

This is why I just got a valve with a nocma0ly closed solenoid. No power means it auto shuts off.

If you know a storm is coming and your on vacation you can go on the app and just shut off the water manually. No need to wait for it to turn the water off automatically in an emergency.

What if you throw a big party have visitors and use the toilet excessively. What it register the water usage as abnormal and shut my water off during a party?????🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

$2000 for mine but that included some new pipes to be replaced around it and new manual shut off valves, but my house is updated.
