Oops I thought you said reel, I use the 13ft blood run skein cane HD heavy power, and dad uses 10ft 6in okuma medium heavy power. Anything in-between will work fine👍

You'll probably have a decent chance now with the rising temps, in the years before I had luck with Lakers in April
