Hey Ben, tell SP that the pain in his shins might be shin splints, they're like little tears in the muscle that gan get really bad and the bone ends up flaking off in places if you don't rest it. Its fine doing every day stuff but exercise that causes pain makes it work - it isn't something you can run off. I had it at the start of the year from longboarding and had to have a quite a bit of physio on it and wasn't able to skate for a couple of months. Hope this is useful!
