That is amazing, how it floats and avoids zombie hits from crawlers too! Can anything except a cop bring this base down? Your entrance to the base is clever too! I usually put it on the side of my base, but I didn't know about the fences! I heard you mention them in a previous video, but didn't realize the benefit! Can't wait to use them! Thank you im glad you enjoyed the video! I havnt tested it with ferals yet but i have tested it with normal zombies.. None of them targeted any blocks they just stand under your character so im guessing ferals will do the same, When i build it in the lets play i will probably go big and have a floating base connected to the hordebase so we can test all aspects with cops and ferals 👍

Thanks for the tutorial. I will probably build one before next horde night... How much damage can I expect from my cement blocks? I know you aren't a fan of the stainless but if I were to beef up some blocks, would I do the floor or the plates.

No worries man im glad you enjoyed the video, I did test a similar build to this with just normal zombies and none of them damaged anything, I was shooting explosives down there though and that does damage the blocks, Reinforced concrete is good at 6000 hp it breaks down to concrete with 3000 hp, Stainless steel is 12000 and breaks down to steel which is 10000 if i remember correctly, I would definitely upgrade the 3 lowest plates before anything else as they are ones that are most likely to take the most damage 👍

Great video. As usual very informative and interesting. I have 2 questions. Have you done an elevator tutorial like in your random gen series? Does your underground mini bike ever teleport itself above ground or am I just unlucky. Happened twice to me, both times teleporting on to spikes.

And no my minibike hasnt teleported above ground but i park mine on player placed blocks and my tunnels are 3x3 i hope this helps 👍

5 blocks is the gap that it covers, 6 blocks if you count the block that the drawbridge sits on

You can checkout znation ffs deja vu on youtube for another version of floating base.This base really does float.No half blocks or plates needed.This video is alpha 15 pc back in 2015

Have you tryed placing the block when your 1-2 blocks above the plate? It can be quite tedious trying to place the plates sometimes

@NaturalBornNZ I dug down one block and placed a wood frame and upgraded it to iron. I then place a iron pressure plate on top of that block. But no matter which way I try, I cannot place anything above the plate unless sitting directly on top of the first plate

I could definitely do one of those if you like? The drawbridge can be quite annoying to place down the first time i put one down it was the wrong height 😂 So i had to break it down and they aint cheap to make 😅
