Can you camp or picnic along the river? Why do you have to stay at Trukees?

@extraart1 You can definitely picnic along the river. But a lot of the land along the river is private property. So I'm not sure which (if any) spots are OK for camping. As for this particular float, you have to stay at Trukees to do it because the take-out point is on their (private) property. But the put-in point is public. So you can put-in there and float to another point. They have many float options available that don't require staying with Trukees.

@Roland Drake - I typically list the water levels in the blog post that I link to each video. But in this case, I didn't record the water level because it is spring-fed river and the water level is always good.
