I came for the silent hill ambience but stayed for the Spyro escapism

I adore the original Spyro trilogy so much, I think Year of the Dragon has the catchiest songs but Ripto's Rage has the moat relaxing (Summer Forest & Autumn Plains) that's the vibe I'm getting from this one, so beautiful 💗

This is exactly my kind of dreamy, peaceful vibe. I love what you’ve done with the Summer Forest theme. Spyro always just feels safe and cozy. Thank you for making this.

Big thanks, my friend! The Summer Forest Theme is only one atmospheric sample called "Liquid Crown" from Spectrasonics - Distorted Reality 2 sample CD. I used it as a layer for this track. Yeah, Spyro will always be special

@@midwichmusicyou’re most welcome! This has helped me relax a lot this week. That’s so cool and interesting about the sample track. I wonder if the other two, Autumn and Winter were also from there or similar samples. Makes it a little easier for people to make these remixes I imagine.
@midwichmusicАй бұрын
@jasper_saberwolf yes, they are also single samples from Spectrasonics - DR2 ^^

I've stared at this for about an hour, trying to deconstruct my nostalgia and figure out how I; how we felt when we played these games. Nostalgia accounts for the vast majority of the answer, but I also think it's the internet and the spread of information on how our favourite games are made that has destroyed our sense of wonder. The school playground discussions and rumors about things in these games no-one else has seen. We looked past the invisible walls and wondered, if we could only get past them, what else was out there. Now we know there is nothing. I've wanted to recapture that nostalgia in new projects, but I fear the modern age has erased it for good. The games still exist, and we can even remember some of what we felt, but that sense of the infinite possibilities, that something wonderful to find was waiting for us just beyond that hill, is gone.

I think it will always remain with kids to a point. Between net moderation, and just life itself being more new, it still builds that foundation of wonder and building blocks that become your nostalgia later. But I do think you're still onto something about the period at which that lasts, over being erased by speed, news, coverage, and info. It kind of makes that building period of wonder feel a bit more shorter.

I really really love this. Such a beautiful sound, interweaving seamlessly with its different layers. I've probably already listened to it for 5 hours. Thank you for creating it.
