Haven't heard this song for ages. The song came out 2005 and was quite popular on the radio, here in the UK at least.

i love this song, it starts out with simple childhood dreams and life, loving your country, making comic books, almost being able to put a remote back together showing you are ok with failing because of the experience of trying, but as the song progresses and the narrarator grows up, his beliefs and desires become more power hungry and warped as he is molded to believe that control is the key to life, by the end the world has completely broken that child and turned him into this power hungry monster. Innocense just got lost along the way.

It also is about how if someone got too much power by ineventions they can become horrible leaders. But unfortunately in order to become powerful you don't even have to create anything. But this really is also about the government. It's also about how anyone is capable of anything also.

It is about to friends that live to different lifestyles one is a normal person going through his life the other becomes a politician and started to get corrupted by the power he got and at the end they end up killing his friend so that’s why you get the scene where he’s seeing him and his friend riding there bikes with no care in the world

If you break it down the song is about how creativity and destructivity are two sides of the same coin. Or how it's a fine line between those two, whatever metaphor suits you better. And how power can corrupt even the most creative mind and turn it into a destructor and oppressor. Listen to their 2007 debut Fight with Tools. It's an amazing album.

More reflection on this song You can do anything the right or the wrong way. You can choose a bad path or you can choose a greater and better path that may benefit society. Riding a bike with handle without handle bars can be dangerous as like one path but if you ride without handle bars skillfully, you may do better as in the other path they chose. Great metaphor. Love the song.

"it just makes you feel like hese just hanging out with his friends.." and thats what i love so much about this song- it starts with this sense of wonder and testing his limits, the it gradually hints at this feelings getting corrupted, and he saves to the end the gut punches of what happens when this sense of wonder is twisted into a lust for power. its brilliant

In the beginning, you can see the two roads the character can take. The lyrics/themes describe one path vs the other. And the cutting idea is that it doesnt take much for the character to choose one path vs the other

The story is of two friends. Whom by riding their bikes with no handlebars, felt they could do anything else. From splitting the atom to leading the nation. One decided to choose power, the other chose people. The feeling anything is possible is wonderful, but can be poisoned very quickly if you decide you want to do something awful in the name of "progress"

I was a freshman in high school when I first saw this video. The main message of the song/video seems to be Corporate America vs. Individualism; also it is important to note that the Corporate guy hesitated to take his hands off the handlebars which shows insecurity or a need for control. I think each man followed what was the best path for him, but one learned that in trying to control everyone else, he ultimately lost control of himself. I don't listen to Logan Paul, but it is definitely evident that he took the idea for his song from this.

I like the fact that when ever I searched up "reactions to handlebars flobots (not logan paul)" basically everything but handlebars showed up and instead "3 minutes of scrolling" finally finding this video (that has nothing to do with logan paul
