I think it was more of the pre-existing emotions of the Eldian military recruits of Eren being locked up that made it easy for Floch to turn their heart.
@lxfj21282 жыл бұрын
@@sentpain8354 he recruited them before eren got imprisoned. It was after eren told floch is plan, floch started recruiting them.

@@sentpain8354 Actually Floch recruited a lot of people to the yeagerist before they imprisoned Eren.

Loved the analysis. Personally, I really enjoy Floch as a character and found myself rooting for him. I do think that the Yeagerists weren't driven by the fear generated by Floch, but by that of Marley and the outside world planning to exterminate them. You think a bunch of newly recruited soldiers would risk their lives on the battlefield against the Island's most competent soldiers and Titan shifters simply out of fear of just another one of them? No, of course not. Floch drove them via purpose. All of them saw first hand the cruelty of the outside world. They respected their leader who was the sole survivor of Erwin's suicide charge. In my opinion, Floch was the true successor of Erwin. He displayed great fears of leadership at the meagre age of 19. Imagine how brilliant of a leader he could've become had he lived as long as Erwin.

obviously social media doesn't reflect reality guys. so yes, you might see a lot of hate for this character online, but that's just online. the smartest and most rational ppl aren't sitting there arguing on fucking social media lmao. plus, ppl are more likely to speak out on something they don't like versus something they're okay with. Never take an opinion on social media seriously. It's 99% shallow ppl with no critical thinking. This is just a fact. this is a great video.

The entirety of what Floch (an out-of-his-depth teenager) knows about leadership and military decision making is his drill instructor in boot camp and one speech from Erwin. That's it. He is winging it on that basis. Under the circumstances it's astonishing he held it together as well as he did.
@Granglife Жыл бұрын
Yh he is just natural born leader I guess because he was never groomed to be one like Armin and he still become a great leader at such a young age

Will you do a Leadership video about Jean? I think he has one of the most defining leadership traits in the whole series? Anyway love them vids
@AboveWill Жыл бұрын
A Jean video is definitely on the way! However, it is not focused on his leadership as I wanted to avoid repeating the same subject over and over. Hope you still enjoy it though when it's out!

Easily the best character as Floch became Erwin
@BlackApricot Жыл бұрын
personally i don't think erwin would want to kill everyone that isnt on paradis island. erwin inspired people with words and action. floch did not. floch is still a coward that hides behind a gun and instill fear and threats of death to bend people to his will. that is so un-erwin like. erwin has been in several situations where he was put on deathrow. and everytime this gigachad was like, "do it, no balls"

Bruh what ? Floch isn't a ruler and his violence is the result of the world he lives in Armin literally cooked thousands of people and I bet you won't call him violent Floch is a leader and he has 0 intentions of ever being a ruler All he wants is for his people to have a future and he is willing to risk everything for that goal

after the coup of erwin and pixys, pixys asked erwin when this massacre will end, and erwin replied: when there is only one left in the world, the violence will end. erwin would have, albeit with difficulty, supported eren's plan (considering that before the extermination eren and the scouts tried everything) pixys not. armin is the successor of pixys, floch is the successor of erwin. I am absolutely certain of this.

He would have chosen fear, because ultimately that's the only thing he had going on for him. Floch is and has always been a coward. Yes, he was brave enough to speak his mind, but he was always only able to speak his mind out of fear, not out of bravery. He speaks his mind when he is afraid of dying against the Beast Titan, he speaks his mind because he is afraid of dying without Erwin, he speaks his mind because he is afraid of dying without Eren. So, his decisiveness already has a weakness, the fact that he constantly works out of fear, which leads to paranoia and subjugation. Cowards want complete domination because they are afraid of others dominating them. That's why when you give power to a coward they'll become bullies. Floch would have eventually been shot by his own men. He drove them to death and subjugate them with cruelty. His message means something for recruitment purposes, but very little for long-term loyalty. He gets loyalty through might and fear which also affects his ego, making him even more despotic and brutal. He is a coward, a bully, and a hypocrite. He spits an ideology of freedom while taking away the freedom of everyone around him. He would have chosen fear and thus all loyalty would have crumbled. Fascism and authoritarianism might be efficient in the short term, but in the end, they're not good leadership.

Floch is a good leader period. He was able to inspire others to fight for his country and his people. He was also willing to take risk to achieve his goal for his people.

You watched all of AOT and you literally ignored every circumstances that lead to every decision he made and wrote this comment thinking you're right You're basically the type of people Floch criticised and hate The people who only see their own point and have 0 consideration of other's opinions and points So let me explain his character to in couple of points - the fear Floch used doesn't come from his it comes from the situation they're in( the entire world coming to kill them) - no Floch doesn't speak his mind out of fear of death but fear of losing the only thing he can offer( which is his life since he doesn't have any especial power going for him) for nothing both Levi and Erwin offered 0 plans on how to kill thr beast which was why Floch was hesitant to follow them Floch is an easy character to understand if you try to
@Granglife Жыл бұрын
Also do you think if Floch cared so much about his life he would just throw it away to twice just to give his people an edge 🤔 Try and make this one make sense
