V the sculptor made V the statue (of himself), along with the girl statue. He must be projecting his own desires to be with someone in his V statue. Thus, when the V statue came to life, he imagined living the life, ie, going around, partying, being with a girl. But that will end, and thus the heartbreaking sadness in V’s eyes when he realized he is not real. This is what I think at least. Right or wrong, the MV is brilliant. It evokes many thoughts. V’s acting is so effective and his vocal harmony with PH is superb!

Park Hyo Shin is a legend in Korean music industry. One of Korea vocal kings.

For those who do not know much about Park Hyo Shin, here’s a basic info about him. Park Hyo Shin is one of the best, or perhaps the best ballad singer in S.Korea. He debuted in 1999 and was highly praised for his husky style voice and hitting high notes with such a low tone voice. His highest inspiration when he was young was Luther Vandross. The control he has over his voice is incredible. Because of his extreme singing skills, many singers in Korea do not even try to attempt to sing his songs because they are all difficult to sing and most importantly difficult to show such emotions like Park Hyo Shin does. Park Hyo shin is also highly known in Korea for not singing in the same singing method but being able to show different types of styles and tones for certain songs. He was not very lucky with his previous companies. He faced lots of litigation due to them not paying him for the concert or any events. He also had to endure lots of depressions in his life that I will not mention. But he was able to withstand it all and now he is a CEO of his own company, been doing musicals such as “The Man who Laughs”, “Mozart” etc. And hopefully will be releasing his 8th album soon. Park Hyo shin is highly known for songs like “Things I can not do for you”, “Good person”, “Memories resemble love”, “Snow Flower”, “Breath” and “Wild Flower”. I highly recommend listening to his song “Wild Flower”. It is a song that tells a story about his painful and difficult past but overcoming them and bloom again. Like a wild flower.

I speculated in the teasers that it was based on the story of pygmalion and I think this mv reflects the this. Pygmalion creates a statute of the perfect woman (as he sees it) and Aphrodite grants him his wish to bring the statute to life. Pygmalion then marries the woman. Tae adds the twist at the end where the realisation comes to him that he also is a statute created by the real V alongside the woman’s statute because we see the X mark on the side of his neck as he carved on the female statue. Boy his acting, without words he expressed the storyline with just his facial expressions. The realisation starts with him partying and all the people disappearing one by one and then facing himself. I see a running theme now of our duality king. Two V’s ending MV’s, first in the friend’s MV and now this mv. V vs Kim Taehyung, Tiger vs Bear, he has told us he has his stage persona V the tiger and he is Kim Taehyung the bear in his normal life. This man should act and direct movies. He really should be the creative director for the group MV’s. He’s so talented, creative and artistic. I hope he gets a chance to continue to develop his artistic visions in the future. Kim Taehyung’s Duality storyline in his own VU (V universe) - Compose Coffee, Friends and Winter Ahead…to be continued? Who knows. Only V!

But instead of making him, he turns him into a woman and uses her to make him happy. But in fact, what he needed was himself. That's why he confronts himself in a wounded way.

Why does this description sound so beautiful? I had originally thought the same way everyone else did; that Tae is not real himself and that realization hit him as he faced himself in the last scene which is why he smiled sadly that this was all in fact not his reality. But, I really like what you came up with! The MV is making me a little nuts the same way Fri(end)s did at the end. But if you link the two together, what you said makes sense. 👏

I think the black hooded V is the sculptor himself, whereas the red jacket V is not real (as you can see him scratching his neck where the X was carved on the sculpture). All the people dressed in white are actually sculptures that ran away after Black hooded V came because he came to kill them as well as red jacket V. That’s an explanation I’ve seen everywhere. Red jacket V’s wish was to become real and live a life with an ideal woman and experience life the way he did in the video. His wish came true, only to be confronted at the end by the Real black hooded V and red jacket V realizes that this was not real the entire time and this was not “the paradise” he wanted. Thus, he smiles sadly at the end, knowing that’s his end. I think Kim Taehyung wanted to portray what his paradise looks like (happiness, a companion). Tae always talks about his different personas between V and Kim Taehyung so maybe?

Mi primera impresión es q trata de salud mental quizá como hasta un millonario o persona de éxito puede sentir tanta soledad que tenga problemas para lidiar con su realidad y anhele otra vida llena de más afecto. Por eso crea estatuas de el mismo, la chica y los q asisten a la fiesta y en su mente son personas reales y es feliz con ellas hasta que sale de esos trances y se conecta con la verdadera realidad. Solo hay un V x eso al final, el V de chaqueta roja, pasa de ojos llorosos a la mirada fría del V atormentado, porque son el mismo y todo está en su mente. Pero lo que dijiste de si la chica murió me hizo pensar en que quizá V nos habla del dolor de la pérdida de seres queridos, un gran amor que termina, la muerte de un ser muy querido como su abuela, y no poder compartir momentos importantes siempre que quiera con sus amigos y familiares, y lo representa con este personaje atormentado q sufre y crea una realidad paralela más feliz con las estatuas. Prefiero pensar que no es algo tan personal, y que no sufre tanto como su personaje del vídeo. 😢

There is another mv about the whole story the cinematic version releasing tomorrow at the same time I'm sure it'll clear all our doubts,for now my theory is hyoshin was an artist he created some statutes in that house and he either died or left that house and later all the statutes he created came alive and some statues with time became old or by some accidents got damaged but tae was the one still alive and as we see he was feeling lonely and dancing with himself and carrying a bear for company he either saw some statues in that house and got the idea of sculpting to distract from loneliness or he just thought of sculpting all by himself and while carving that girl he really fell in love with that girl and suddenly she came alive too and he was happy that he found some one and then I think she died too means something happened to her sculpture and I think tae got really upset and depressed again and went to that room and out anger I think he smashed the statue of his own cuz as we saw only his statue was covered and protected and by the end of mv we saw tae himself breaking and squeezing it and then all of a sudden he sees so many people around him in white clothes may be all those are the dead statues cuz V is also dead now he is able to see them and he even see the girl he created and before she wore coloured clothes but now even she is in those white clothes like other dead soul's even tae is little confused about all these spirits/people around him but he is happy to see her again and celebrates with them,then suddenly by the end when he saw himself I think he saw his own dead body covered in blood and realises he is also one of those statues cuz he have the same Mark as the other statues and he is no longer alive he broke his statue himself, and gets teary and may be then he also turned into a spirit like others cuz we saw at the end of the mv tae is also in sparkly white clothes

I have a theory I think that from the beginning there were 2 Taehyungs, the one in the black jacket and the one in the red, Because if you notice in the beginning there is a Taehyung on the couch throwing a pillow and another Taehyung who seems to catch it. The one in the black jacket created a statue of the one in the red jacket, but he felt alone, as you can see in the video dancing alone in the theater, in the mansion, in the car while it was raining and he made friends and a couple but in the end the Taehyung in the black jacket arrives with his face stained with perhaps blood? maybe because Taehyung in the red jacket found out that it was a statue as you can see in the video checking the covered statue and destroyed it and perhaps attacked the Taehyung in black that's why the blood, touching the "x" behind his ear realizing that in reality it was just a statue that's why the sad expression.

E parece que o V criatura fica feliZ no final por seu criador vencer esse obstáculo de solidão e busca por perfeição...pois vemos um leve sorriso em seu rosto. From my point of view. : Red Tae is V. (Symbolize by he touch the scratch V in his neck). People see him as a happy V. ;, dancing, partying, glamorous, has many friends. surrounded by people who love him. But actually inside this V is black Tae that is Kim Taehyung. who is in pain (symbolized by bleeding): he is lonely, sad, hurt. But in the end Kim Taehyung realized that he is is V.. a happy person. And Kim Taehyung finally felt happiness. cuz he is is V afterall. I remember Tae once answered an interviewer in 2021, he said that he finally found a way to be happy...... that happiness is created by our own. How to change our way of thinking when facing a critical situation (like a pandemic). we all know, during the pandemic, Tae was depressed. but he was able to overcome and get through it. from there the song Blue & Grey was created. So in my opinion, the real concept of this MV. Inspired by Tae's experience in finding happiness. (self healing from sadness). Then depicted artistically and elegantly through the story of King Pygmalion. btw, Tae is indeed King. we know. Tae is of royal descent and has royal blood). 😍

I inerpret it as Taehyung and his creation - V! It wasn't the girl he was seeing it was another part of himself that he sees, I think the "X" was actually a "V" on the neck of the stautue he was creating. And in the end, he comes to terms as to who he really is. Just a theory... But this was definitely a masterpiece! Taehyung's artistry has no bounds!

I believe Tae is the one with all the blood, who I believe died. It showed him in the car and around town also in the theater. The other Tae is confronted by the real Tae he realizes that everything isn't real, also Tae had that mark on his neck. All I can say is that Tae is ethereal in voice and beauty. May God and Tae's angel protect him from all the weapons that people are trying to use to bring him down. Army loves you, TaeTae.

V also confronted himself at the end of his video Friends. Does this reflect his feelings in real life? Perhaps he feels some conflict about who he really is…the idol or the artist with human desires and the need to love and be loved. V strikes me as a man with depth and emotion. His work is always meaningful and thought provoking. PHS is also sensitive and profound. What a beautiful pair.

Taehyung was a sculptor who lived alone and his art was so great that the sculptures had souls and he created people in this world who had a white essence. But when he was born, he saw a black essence in this whiteness that he had not created himself. At the end of the music video, he stood in front of Taehyung and Taehyung realized that he had created the creator of the blackness himself and that he was not the creator. The essence of both whiteness and blackness is a much bigger creation and that was why he cried at the end of the music video. He understood that whiteness and blackness only think that they create the world around them. But they were not just statues, that human and animal souls had been created inside them. This is what I took from the content of the music video. what a masterpiece

I think it talks about two similar dimensions. One where he's happy with her, and another one where he haven't met her yet but is searching for her to be happy as the other dimension he constantly dreams about. So, the dimension where he is happy, are dreams from him (the one with red jacket). And the other one, darker, (the Tae that wears black) is the reality. So he imagines how it could be to be with her having all that memories rather than feeling alone, so he wants to travel time-space to stole the girl he loves from his dimension to give her from dreams to reality, so that's why he is obssessed doing a statue of her bcs he wants to become true his dreams. But, the lyrics of the song, remains that dreams can come true so it's possible that in his reality, exists the girl he exactly wants to be with. So all the mv talks about his last depression and the song talks about the present, he found hope and he will never lose it, bcs he found her, but isn't with her yet, bcs repeats "I'll be with you" not "I'm with you", so he is trying to find her again to finally, be happy together. Hope you like my theory
