V's vocal range is incredible he has the widest vocal range in BTS. Besides his deep soulful baritone vocals he can go super high like in this song. He can also change his voice to rough and raspy like in the song Jump, and even though he attempted to do opera jokingly several times he still sounded really good, went viral, and got recognized by an opera singer for it.

Kim Taehyung is amazing. Although I personally think he is underrated as a singer. Stigma gave him a chance to show his vocal range in keeping with his personal style and the fandom went crazy. It’s one of his most iconic performances. Personally I think V sounds best live. Something about his tone gets lost in the studio recordings and that shines in live performances. Don’t know why. Reactors often focus on Jimin, JK and Jin’s falsettos and forget how gorgeous V sounds in his falsetto. Love how you described it.

I'd just like to point out how hard it is to maintain vocal control when dancing and, yes, even walking up and down stairs. When you compare some of their first shows, you can see the work and effort all of BTS has done on their craft. Yes, they all have been blessed with some inate talents. Really, talent means little when you aren't willing to put in the work. I am 53 and what made me finally see the light about BTS was when I finally said, I am going to see what all the fury is about them. I fell into the BTS rabbit hole and watched years worth of videos, watching as they put in all this damn work, and while they were still basically babies. I was flabbergasted because I have never worked as hard as they have for anything. Considering I have had 68 operations on my vocal cords, for me to admit that is saying something about the dedication and drive all these young men possess. I grew up listening to groups like the Four Tops, Chicago (the really old stuff from like 1968 to 1975), the Eagles and a great deal of blues rock. Well, is it any wonder V is my bias? Tae Tae is handsome (they all are) and a low-key genius for out-of-the box thinking....but his voice and the hard work he has done to improve is inspiring. My Mom who loved groups like the Temptations, Earth Wind and Fire and other really great harmony singers from the 50s and 60s...well, she passed before I got into BTS. But I know, without a shadow of a doubt, she would have loved V. I could not give him a more glowing show of approval than that.

This performance was from the 2017 tour but the song was written for the pivotal 2016 concept album Wings, which included seven member solo tracks and accompanying short films along with the group songs. It’s where they took the themes of the BU and really cranked up the metaphysical aspects of the storylines by interweaving them with an exploration of the philosophical and psychological ideas behind Hesse’s novel Demian.

I suspect that the fact that BTS members have solo tracks on /group albums and also released full what tge call " mix tapes" and OST singles is one reason they can stay together as a band. They have the ability to explore genres of music without having to leave the band.

Yes..V has a very wide vocal range, amazing vocal control, smooth and warm vocal tone..V is already considered a baritone legend…he can growl, sing bass, then transition smoothly up into head voice, perfect falsetto, then hit high notes and back low again…soo smoothly and effortlessly..🔥..With BTS group, usually Jin and Jimin are given the high notes because it is more in their natural range..but V can go high as well but with a richer tone…and Vs falsetto is perfect..RM says V can do any genre..V also can sing jazz or classics songs like Bing Crosby songs..please check out Le Jazz de V….V with a live jazz band..you would think you were in a jazz lounge bar….V is always best Live rather than the recording..🔥💜

Btw this performance was during the Wings Tour on 2017, so 7 years ago, not 3😅 Taehyung’s voice is so unique and one of the kind. Being the ONLY baritone in BTS’ vocal line full of tenors is hard, but he actually has very wide range vocal, a voice that can’t be replicated. he has a soulful honey voice and can hit all the high notes perfectly. I love his voice the most when he sings live, when i hear his voice raw & real. 💯 Idol of idols kim taehyung👑

I am huge fan of men's falsetto 😂 and this is the first bts song I memorize and learnt about korean pronounciation so that I can memorize and sing along with V. This song came out on 10/2016. It was in their 2nd studio Wings album. They've been having solos and sub-units songs in just about all albums. While there are solos performing, other members can change and rest a little during the concerts.

There are several solo songs of members that are released under the album of bts. So the artist names are bts too. They only have their name on projects they release on their own. Eg:- STIGMA sung by V is under the album WINGS by BTS. (it's a group project, not his solo) But FRI(END)S is by V. Cos it's his own song.
