Became a fan of the song while serving in the military 💔. Loved SGU!! Oddly enough just finished the series again. I’m an old broken soldier and I got a little broken up when this song started playing. Powerful song and appropriate for these troubled days. Be safe.

That episode tore me up badly back in the day, this song was beautifully arranged into the storyline.

To an old friend whom I miss a lot and want to reunite with but I know we always get into trouble when we do. My friend has been lost ever since his Moma’s passing in his youth is and using drugs and I am in recovery and I can’t compromise my health and well-being. We had many hours a days and nights up stoned and talking and listening to Flogging Molly and many other great bands. It’s hard when someone you care about is a message away and you can’t contact them because it will end up in disaster. My friend is a chronic alcoholic and suffers drug addiction so he’s on my mind a lot and i listen to his personal favoured music to remind me of him. I miss the days when we was just young and enjoying our life’s not addicted and sick and fighting a losing battle yet never giving up. You get so tired after a while and want to just lay down and rest and let things go by but you know you can’t and time slowly takes away many great people and things you knew and someday all you had is long since gone and your left lost and alone with no where to call home and only what you have month to month day to day. When I was young I never worried about food having milk and bread and heat and money and comforts and accommodations at all. But after my Grandfather passed away I was on my own at sixteen and moved into my Grandfathers house he left me at seventeen and started my life and ever since I have struggled to have heat food to pay bills and taxes to have the regular comforts everyone else had. Its been a long and tiring journey and I’ve walked uphill all the way it seems and oh how irreparably my life has changed in the last fourteen years going from having a home of twenty years a soulmate of twelve years many possessions friends respect and mental stability and self integrity but I lost it all after having a mental break down from the stress of taking care of all those who needed it and my house and keeping up with the household chores cutting our firewood by hand with machetes and my double edged axe and did all work by hand traveled everywhere by hitch hiking except to get monthly supply’s from the nearest city we had no indoor plumbing no other internet or phone and I was working at the time doing old furniture repair and refinishing manual labourer and chemical striping plus I had my band Intentional Misuse and practiced as often as I could every day for the weekend when we partied from early Friday night until Sunday night and I wrote all the songs taught my band mates the parts needed I did also l the sound setup and main vocals and guitar as well as did occasional drumming while I sang and I also played bass for some songs when I wanted to switch it up I also studied and researched about many subjects and recorded music wrote creative writing constantly plus I had 275 hours of life in community service and probation to complete as well as trying to keep my drug addiction in check which I slowly fell victim to. I was also not on medication for my mental illnesses I had people at my home from 5:30am until 2:30am most the time because I offered marijuana products for sale so it was around 5:30am every morning the lads came to get weed before work so either my ex would get up but it was mainly myself that attended to them and I’d grab their money head to my freezer grab whet they needed and if they had to cuff I had a bag of extra used for fronts. So i started everyday as the sun came up and it was not until the wee hours of the morning I fell asleep. I was stretching myself far beyond my means but what could I do I was needed only it was the meth and OxyContin and needles that sealed my fate and took absolutely every thing and everyone that I cared about from me?? Thanks if you read this I hope you all have the blessings of grace touch over you and can find peace and joy everyday. Wish you the Best Billy and hope your well and living the best life you deserve and also wish your dreams come true buddy. Much love to you and to all!!

Well I know, I miss more than hit With a face that was launched to sink An' I seldom feel, the bright relief It's been the worst day since yesterday If there's one thing I have said Is that the dreams I once had, now lay in bed As the four winds blow, my wits through the door It's been the worst day since yesterday Fallin' down to you sweet ground Where the flowers they bloom Well it's there I'll be found Hurry back to me, my wild cailín It's been the worst day since yesterday Though these wounds have seen no wars Except for the scars I have ignored And this endless crutch, well it's never enough It's been the worst day since yesterday Hell says hello, well it's time I should go To pastures green, that I've yet to see Hurry back to me, my wild cailín It's been the worst day since yesterday

You will never leave this world alive and better men have tried. Trust me. However, what you take here is what you leave behind so shape up and embrace what awaits. Maybe before that you can get some more, maybe you can't. All that matters is that you accept it now as I have.
