Awesome! Thanks! BTW, I have an Envato subscription and I don't know how can I remove from Envato green screen footage their tracking markers. I meant, if you have footage with different dimensions, you have to apply the chroma effects, then these tracking points remain visible. It would be great if you have an easy solution. Thanks in advance. Regards!
@flo.motion2 жыл бұрын
Hey! 1. you could simply place whatever you want on top of the tracking markers, so you don't see them! 2. if they are green you can key them! 3. Roto is your best friend!

I’m always confused about when to choose mocha ae (or pro) vs using the AE built in track mask, 3d camera tracking or rotobrush 2. Is there an easy way to know when mocha is needed? Thanks!
@flo.motion2 жыл бұрын
Mocha is a planar tracker. You can not really do that with the build in effects from AE. So if you want to put something on a flat surface, or want to to retouches on a flat/ planar surface then mocha is your weapon of choice!!

So now I need to contact them to see if I could get Mocha v2 or v3 for my Power PC. BTW, how did you get your voice to sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger when you slowed down the video?
@flo.motion2 жыл бұрын
Haha... well if you slow down the video, also the voice gets lower automatically, because you stretch the wave form! ;)
@barefootuptomysoul2 жыл бұрын
@@flo.motion Interesting, because when I slow down my video, I sound like Mickey Mouse on helium, ah ha, ha ha. I contacted Boris and they said they no longer have the old legacy version of Mocha available in their archives. Even if they did the price of Mocha Pro is too much for my current budget still. I just would not be using it that much. Hopefully, motion tracking in AE itself will be good enough for me without planar. Anyway, the tutorial is excellent as is because it is a good review of what I know and learned some things as well. Otherwise, I will just have to hire you to do some work for me on my big time movie making projects. That would be so cool :) .
@flo.motion2 жыл бұрын
Hey! You have a version of mocha I stalled already!! Simply type in mocha into the effects and presents window! But mesh tracking is only available in the pro version
@barefootuptomysoul Жыл бұрын
@@flo.motion Maybe I would have to go the route of keyframing the pin to corners to get similar. I will try that.

Which software is best for 3D tracking... Because AE is not good for 3D tracking 🥲
@flo.motion2 жыл бұрын
Hey, for most of the cases AE is pretty good, but if you want to go into adding 3d objects and need camera exports for all software out there, my go to Tracker is PF Track!

Sometimes in Mocha tracking, It says Tracking failed. and I feel so helpless. the work stops in its first step. Sometimes in after effect camera tracker also it says tracking failed. If we get this error , what can we do please give us solution.
@flo.motion Жыл бұрын
Many options here! Try detailed analysis in After Effects. Delete misleading track points. Roto out misleading parts first. In mocha: try to use holdout mattes. Try keyframing before tracking!

I don't get the"Expand planar surface tool" @6:31 I thought this would help my understanding of it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYvYXn6HqaiMaas but he seems to use it to define a planar surface, where as you seem you be using it to cover the trackable area, correct? I'm still not sure how to use that part of Mocha... Thanks for making this tutorial!
@rossshain18932 жыл бұрын
If your insert graphic is already scaled and placed in the position of your tracked object, then you use "expand surface". If your insert graphic is full-frame, then you do not use "expand surface". Instead, you position the surface to the corners of the tracked object. Maybe this video is better for you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5PIoKadj9CKoJo

Thanks! I will check that out.

Dear friend. I have been following you with interest for a long time and I believe you are a true genius on Adobe After Effects. I'm just sorry that you, like so many others, have become an employee of ENVATO. Now in order to run your tutorials we will be forced to subscribe (for a fee) to ENVATO, and I do not think that all your followers have the economic possibility to pay a subscription. Hey!! Thanks a lot for your Feedback! Was trying a long time to create those tutorials with footage everyone has access to. But I found this is really hard. So I searched for a really cheap solution and found envato... and to be honest you do not have to use envato... you can use your own footage... and I Entourage you all the time, but anyways... in my neuesten tutorial I made a collaboration with envato, so that you can use it for FREE to follow along! Still this is just an option and you can still follow along with your own footage... please let me know your honest thoughts!! Really appreciate your feedback!!!!
