Hurricane Helene did a job in our area of SC and tomorrow I am going to attempt to get both my son and son-in-law mowers going these videos have been great for that review and wish me luck. It sounds like it may take multiple oil changes if they fire up at all.

One mower l had underwater never got it cleaned out but l think someone makes a cleaner for water in the oil l think it has alcohol in it thanks Josh you're very patient

I don’t know what that mower cost new, my hrx217hyaa was about $900 when I bought it at Christmas. I would run the mower until it dies, then buy another one. It’s still a lot better mower than the lower end mowers you would buy at the box stores. If I get a year out of it, that would be great. If I get 2 or more years it would be even better. By then maybe it will be easier to replace with a new Honda mower. The way I see it I have nothing to lose. Just my $0.02. Thanks for posting.

To pay a shop would probably not be worth it. But if you have 4-5 hours of free time it would totally be worth it
