One disadvantage is the engine is bigger and heavier by the comparison.

Love the channel. Good maintenance tips for those who don’t know. Always buy from dealer not box stores, they can’t help you with issues.

Love your videos, they've been very helpful. However..... I just acquired a FS54RC and the grass cutter kit for it. The new replacement shield is smaller than the one the trimmer came with, and it does not have a line trimmer blade. Does this sound correct? If so, I guess it means I'll have to swap the shields back and forth, unless I leave the larger, original shield on. Thoughts?

This video helped make my decision. I live in AZ so didn't buy from Carl's but I did buy the BR600 for home use. It is perfect for clearing the dust and leaves from the turf, pool deck and sidewalks.

The first thing this guy needs to learn is that it's "one-cycle" and "two-cycle", not "two-cycle" and "four-cycle". No such thing as a four-cycle motor.

455 husky rocks, I've had mine a long time. Got a 24 inch bar on it, easier to cut up firewood without leaning over so far, also lets you stand back a little farther from wood under tension. I highly recommend it if your looking for a 50 + cc. saw.

The Ariens is good value. The King is the Honda 1336 tho. The Ariens weighs & costs much less than the 1336. Has less hp too. Has the same snow throw. Both love to eat the snow.

Definitely the KING. Up here in back country Alaska, we own the Ariens Kraken 32 and it never fails us!

I think you are wrong with the warranty length on the Kraken. I thought it was only 3 year residential?

I’m a sthil guy but I hate the 271 it’s wanna there worst saws made in china according to the serial number code and just bulky I have a 455 to and love it I cut 20 cords a year at least so I use saws a lot just my opinion now the 261 can’t be beat

If I buy a new trimmer, probably the 111 or the 131. If my dealer has a 111rx I’ll get it, if not then I’ll get the regular 111r or the 131r
@mcgoon802725 күн бұрын
I ended up getting all three. All of them work great and I have them set up with different size string so I don’t have to swap heads or string, depending on what I’m doing.

About 4 years ago I finally got tired of dealing with, pulls a lot chainsaws, better known as Poulan. I broke down and spent the extra money on a Stihl ms271. Best brand ever.

Serial number for Stihl chainsaw My MS461 was made in Germany, my MS180 and MS310 was USA. • If the first digit in the serial number is a 1 then it was manufactured in Germany • If it’s a 2 or a 5 it was manufactured in the United States • A 3 means it’s manufactured in Brazil • Serial starting with 8 is Chinese made • Starting with 4 means made in Austria

question I just bought a bg50 brand new from Ace Hardware and at Full Throttle it will begin to bog down if I loosen the fuel cap it regains RPMs and runs like a charm I don't see a vent in the fuel cap should I just leave it a little loose or should it be venting on its own?
@user-nt8oz8db8n4 күн бұрын
Either try to replace gas tank breather or just return it for warranty, actually stihl has a good warranty

I just purchased a 450 on black friday came with the case. My 18 year old husky55 is starting to annoy me , probably easy fixes but I just don't have time. I work and come home I need a running saw. This new saw is light but feels cheap.

Dont use Stihl oil. Use Echo Red Armor and you won't have any carbon problems. Love my Stihl BG50 but Stihl Ultra is no good! It's only rated FB, Echo is FD, top rated.

If you'd done this on a bench with an overhead camera that would actually show the part(s) that get bent/broken, we would be able to see the part, so we could understand what broke or moved. But, no. you do this standing out in the wind with no good visuals of the problem. Huge fail.

Bought the 800 C because of the collapsible tube, not the side start. But the side start works good.

Just bought this new Cadillac after my Honda's self-propelled drive failed after 9 years. It still runs and cuts, but I got a great deal on this new HRX217. As a tall guy, I needed to install c-clamps through the bottom adjustment hole to elevate the handle. It you are 5' 10" the stock adjustments are adequate

I have 3 tanks through my saw and once the saw warms up the chain starts spinning at low idle. It is incredibly dangerous and gets worse as you use the saw more. I have recalibrated several times. No more Stihl for me!

I have only bought Sthil saws and this saw is the worse saw I have ever owned. I have a MS 270C and it is by far a better saw than the 271. The 271 boggs and it is less than a year old. It has done this since the day I bought it. TOO MUCH EPA CRAP
@kevinStidham-w6r17 күн бұрын
I agree the 271 sounds bogged down compared to a husky 455 on top end.

STAY AWAY FROM HONDA MOWERS. JUNK. NOT LIKE THEY USE TO BE. POOR ENGINEERING, LACK LUSTER PARTS AND OVER PRICED. JUST GET A TORO OR CLUB cadet with briggs and sraton engine easy to maintain.

Prefer the 28" more power to auger ratio. The convenience of having the electric shoot control is nice but i can see it breaking when I need it. EFI on this small of engine to me is unnecessary complexity another thing to break, misbehave and have to find parts for. The Pro 28 without EFI. Add extra lights, 12v batt start, Track wheel hydro or disc. Disc is easy to fix everything yourself and keep the parts on hand. Hydro will require more time to fix.
