Manipur is experiencing its worst flooding since 2015 due to Cyclone Remal, impacting thousands of residents. Continuous heavy rainfall has resulted in waist-deep flooding, landslides, and mudslides. In Senapati district, heavy rains caused a landslide on Wednesday, killing one person and injuring several others. An 83-year-old woman drowned in the overflowing Senapati River, and a 75-year-old man was electrocuted in Imphal. Thousands have been displaced, with many stranded in low-lying areas. Rescue operations are underway to assist those affected, and relief camps have been set up by the administration to provide aid to the affected families.
