German cars are some of the best cars you can buy, but definitely not cheap to restore if using genuine parts. A lot of the components are also used in cheaper makes and models so it’s worth looking around before you order direct from Audi. London, uk

Looks great, I got a 2019 Ram 1500 that was flooded, drained the water from the engine charged the battery turned the key and nothing is happening, any suggestions?

Nice videos and brings reality on flooded cars. Am interested in a few bmws I see listed on eBay. Some dealerships from Florida. Hence I have been told to stay away from water history damaged cars. Would just like to save $ on a nice vehicle with low miles, but don’t wish to lose out in the end. What would you suggest.

hhova29 Water damaged cars can be good or bad depending how bad was the damage (how deep it was flooded) and with what type of water- fresh of salt.. Salt water is way more corrosive so there is way more chance the wires and connectors will be damaged, which leads to electrical issues.. There is a lot of stuff that goes into buying and inspecting flooded cars, I plan to post more detailed videos soon to cover this topic..

Luxecrate. Shop We did check it and it seemed dry.. Sometimes there is no way to tell if the engine is good in a flood car by just looking.. :(

Conekillah Great point! A lot of times it makes sense especially when you work on these type of cars all the time.. But we don’t have capacity, capital nor manpower to remove and store parts and junk cars.. So most of the time it’s easier and cheaper just to buy parts, unless you’re working on a rare or exotic car..

would you recommend purchasing a vehicle to repair if engine was hydrolocked like the one in this video? i came across a 2012 bmw 750 li with the same issue

Franklin Ruiz I would stay away from that particular vehicle especially if it had water damage.. Those engines are expensive and problematic and it’s a LOT of labor to replace one of those.. In the end it’s not gonna be worth it. Not to mention it might have other electrical issues..

If it was flood damage salvage will it not show on title ...if it show on title it will sell as salvage and price of car goes down 50% then how you will get so much money

goolgappa5 Yes it does show Rebuilt title brand on the title.. From my experience we should be able to get 60-70% of retail price for this car, so we won’t make a lot of $$ but if you’re buying one not for resale but to keep it I think saving $10k is a great deal!

Shannon Sofield It really depends how bad was the flood and how expensive is replacement engine.. Sometimes it’s way better to take out and clean or replace the carpet than deal with replacing the engine that’s costs $5000+..

Do not buy a flooded vehicle of any kind, let alone a money pit audi. These cars have tons of electrical components. Nothing but problems. Sure it will work for a couple of months or even a year but unless you're a sleazy car salesman, I wouldn't do this to anybody

I have been driving a flood car for almost 5 years and a lot of my family members and friends drive flood cars without any issues.. We’ve been selling flood cars for over 15 years and never had any complaints. Flood cars can be great deals if you know what you’re doing.
