Flooding at the mouth of the Hopkins River

Flooding at the mouth of the Hopkins River after recent heavy rains in south-eastern Australia. A bit contrast between the river now and 6 months ago, when the river mouth blocked and then was swamped by the ocean. Now it's the other way around!

Wow, the difference from a little while ago is quite striking. Does the sand get moved around a lot in that area? It's amazing how the water was flowing 'in reverse' in your last video there, best regards.

I've noticed a lot of movement over the past year, makes it a very interesting spot

Wow. That’s a lot of erosion. But I’m guessing this is not the first time this happened. And the sand will build back up again.

True, only 7 months ago the mouth was blocked by sand
