I'm sorry but the Wienfluss is not representativ for the flooding situation in Austria! Parts near St. Pölten, Tulln and around the river Kamp have been hit so much more! Thousands of people are without water, electricity and have lost Everything! Austria has learnd it's lessons from the flooding in 2002 so it was still hard but I don't want to know what would have happend, if the dams would have not been build and there would not be the good crisis team. Everyone helpes the other and there are so many helpers like Volunteer fire brigade from all of Austria. You must know in St. Pölten it rained from Wednesday to Sunday over 370 liter per square metre! But in whole Lower Austria there fell so much rain and it did not end..

If the rain is moving toward east, it will really cause trouble with Elbe. The entire czech pan is leading toward Elbe. Small rivers which have average flow of 30 cubic meters per second, have now a flow of 400, and if they combine not even the large dams on Vltava river will be able to stop it. The western part of czechia was not flooding yet (Karlsbad, Pilsen). The floodwave expected in Dresden is only from north-eastern part, the origin of Elbe river, but southern and eastern parts are expected to flood next. Good news is the demolition of Dresden bridge will be almost free.
