This is the best lark ever! I can't pick just one thing I like most. Gail's pipe and history is fantastic. Dolly for Alex is so sweet. The jet looks like a needle. Gail and Alex, may I suggest a project? You could make little bottle hang tags for your best bottles to identify where you found them or who gave them to you. You could use pieces of found chain or make chains from found metals. For bottles you sell, make Northern Mudlark tags for them. Nice finds, great video!

The black pointed object reminds me of 'obsidian' in the states, volcanic glass...? But I know it can't be. It's beautiful. Oh, and I absolutely love the small bottles, ink wells etc.

It may be jet from Whitby which is worth more than obsidian

iron smelters produce a slag that looks very mich like obsidian so if there were smelters in the region that might explain it

Some gorgeous finds . I love the little doll and tiny bovril bottle. Well love all of the finds .😉😊. Its was sad to only see brown shwoo looking into the window 😥. Would have loved to have made it up to see you on your craft stall and I hope you did well . Maybe we will have a mudlark together one day . Happy larking 😊❤.

My daughter and I regularly visit our local bottle dump and find bottles from local companies now long gone. It's sad think of all the small businesses that no longer exist. We love the cream pot and the big glass jar. ❤

Wow there's some high quality rubbish in that bank 😂 I loved the blue mug and the beautiful little burst lip bottles. The little black glass point would have been 1 or hundreds sewn onto dresses and capes as trim. Back when I made assemblage jewelry I had a small box of them and I turned them into earrings - they always went fast!

I just love the Maypole Dairy Pot, the history of it, is quite fascinating, also the miniature Bovril bottle and it’s colour. Wonderful finds revealed by the high river levels. Love those tiny bottles particularly the aqua with bubbles; like a frozen underwater scene. An ink of any kind is the next item on my Mudlarking wish list. The bottles from Alan were a lovely gift, especially that blob top. I wonder what the story is behind the chain? Great finds and history especially the cream pot (I've yet to find a whole one) a lot of the pipe bowls seem to have what l call wheat sheaf designs, so pretty. Great stuff coming out of the banks! I can see why you like the unglazed cream pot, it's texture looks so pleasing. Of course love the white heart bead and the faceted drop... And glass bottles are awesome, the giant jar I like best.

I enjoyed watching this river expedition of yours so much! This and seaglass hunting, and your jewelry making videos are definitely my favourites. Wish you could have send me a perfect glass stopper with my son, who's planning to visit during Desember, looking so much forward to his visit to me here in Cape Town,allready 3 years since we've seen each other.
