You should check some of the live stuff she did on her solo tour. I was at the show in Doornroosje. Look for Floor Jansen @ Doornroosje and there will be loads of clips. It wasn't very metal, but she did some Nightwish, After forever and Revamp. It was an excellent show (and she had to cry singing "Strong"). I was very impressed.

Jørn-Viggo is such a good guitarist! I also love his band Pagans Mind which is a progressive metal band. They met in 2007 and found out they both had a great love for pure hard-rock. I believe these songs are written together.

She planned this with Jørn Viggo Lofstad of Pagan's Mind as early as 2010, but then other things happened among others; burn-out, Nightwish, Revamp etc. Finally in 2018 they produced this album. Great!!!

I'm almost ashamed to say that I never paid attention to Northward. Guess I was in that period of my life where so many things happened that I didn't care much for discovering new things. But I bought the CD at one of her solo gigs in the Netherlands and I'm totally loving it. Even better then her Revamp CD's who do have some great songs of course, but on this one there are nothing but good songs! I'm sad I never listened to it before, I really missed out on something good.

Yep. Floor is a little self-deprecating about it, but she is a great song-writer as well. Either on the channel or by yourself, you should check out "Eccentric" by After Forever live at Graspop. Brutal lyrics about isolation and bullying.

My God, I'm running three years behind. I thought "while love died" was the only mindblowing song from Northward. Now listen to this.... It is fantastic. The only criticism I can think of is that I don't see gorgeous Floor and the amazing guitarhero Lofstad in the videoclip. I really love her "pissed off" face in that other video. Floor for president, would not that be something. She would just spank all those dictators on the buttocks. Over the knee!

Great song and reaction. OK, two more from Northward you probably need to check out. First, she did a live version of Bridle Passion a couple weeks ago at Musikcafe in the Netherlands. She is really muscular yes. No doubt she's working out hard. Maybe even more so now than ever before (?) She has said on several occations that she loves working out, although she's never been keen on specifying what she's doing.
