She did these songs during the lockdowns from her home, when everything was shut down. Floor gave us fun Fridays where she answered our questions, she uploaded songs, videos from her home, then came finally the Nightwish virtual concert. They all kept us from going insane 😊 And on top of that Nightwish crew got bored and made a studioalbum Crewish, something fun for you to check out. 🤘

She almost liquified you on this one. Her husband was playing the drums on this also. Its amazing that she would do performances like this as a gift. It helped me get through the lockdowns. I was considered an essential worker and had to work my butt off everyday. I was so tired when I got home and needed a moral boost in a bad way and her posts always helped me. This one especially.

Hi Debbie, great reaction as usual. Floor has put out some real amazing songs from her home studio during lockdown. One you MUST check out is Adagio which is a vocal tour de force. You might need two pens and a lie down in a dark room afterwards though!

I think the guitar stuff was Tommy doing the arrangement of the music. He was helping Floor to put together some of these covers with her during the lockdowns. Floor shows us her wolf tattoo behind her ear. The other side has a dog. The wolf represents her wild side, always on the hunt, and the dog is her home side comfortable by the fireside.

Much as I like this, I wish that like her Let it Go cover, it was remastered to take down the instruments in the mix. There is a balance in which it is still a metal version of Ave Maria, but her beautiful voice is more upfront.

Floor gave us another Ave Maria version from 2019 - a phenomenal duet with Tommy Karevik and Floor - from Raskasta Joulua 2019. Hiii 🙂 This really is a terrific version, and probably my favourite, although any version Floor sings will automatically be a favourite lol. This reminds me, that Tarja put out a Christmas album a few years ago, which has some quite interesting takes on the songs we all know. There's also a few that are less well known, presented in a quite unique way. My only criticism of this is that musical accompaniment is too loud and aggressive. Thus distracting from what should be the true focus. The tenderness of her words and her voice.

Floor is not her strength to classical like metal… But if one does not know The difference of course Floor would be Queen at this, she is not

Floor has done a number of versions of Ave Maria but this one is my least favourite. That's largely because the accompaniment is FAR too loud and is too brash an arrangement for the subject matter. The message of gge original text is completely lost. Floor's singing of course is az good as we might expect (though if I had to take a version of Ave Maria to a desert island it would be a classical version of the original Schubert setting.
