No she is not nailing every song, if you are a true fan of Nightwish you chould also know that Tarja have lot`s of more feeling to this song and many other songs of nightwish too. Floor is wherry good but she is harder at some songs than Tarja. Nemo is one of them and this song. But then again, Floor is not a opera singer ether so there you go.

@@tommyaleks100 Well Tarja might sound more operatic but does not claim to be an opera singer either. As for the rest, its much down to opinion. I never liked Nightwish before floor as I did not like the big vibrato from Tarja. As for Nemo, they are closer together in terms of quality, but I still prefer Floor on that one. There are very, very few songs with Tarja which which come close to Floor. Sleeping sun and stargazers come to mind.

She'll still be hitting that note in 20 years time ... because of her perfect technique Look at the likes of Jess Glynne and Adele - terrific singers constantly getting into trouble, needing throat surgery (unfortunately, in both cases, their "throatiness" is the main attraction - and it's the only way they know how to sing .. but it's abusive to their larynxes!) Floor is like Tom Jones and Sarah Vaughan - the older she gets, the more awesome her voice will be. She can sing anything! Heavy metal, opera (as you do ..), pop, shows, anything .. (except jazz - I've not heard her sing jazz yet ...)

His work here is truly amazing, I'm not sure about his track record but for this performance he offers an absolutely marvelous reflection for Floor's more wandering and wistful tones. He understands the role of the phantom, a very dark character, and that's why he sounds so convincing. Of course even if he's acting superbly alone it won't do much and together with Floor's interpretation of Christine it gives them the opportunity to bounce off each other.

What I like so much about this version (besides the arrangement --I've always thought the musical score is a bit too tame) is that both of them have a very deep sound to their voice. It's a soprano and tenor piece, both the respective high voices for women and men, but despite the actual notes they both sound much fuller and richer than many of the singers for the musical production. Plus it's really kind of impressive how Henk Poort manages to have his vibrato stay /in time with the song/.

I'm Dutch and not a metal fan, just a music fan in general. Tbh I didn't know of Floor either untill this show. Floor does not live in the Netherlands and her music has the label: metal. And "most" (not wanna trigger the fan boys), people do not listen to that kind of music here. Also, when she performs, it's on rock festivals or concerts in Germany or Sweden. So, it's not really strange that the majority in the Netherlands did not know her before. But now she's known she will be carried as one of our national treasures. From every corner of society people are deeply impressed.

It wasn't recorded by anyone that would release it, but at ProgPower USA in 2007, there was an All-Star Jam wherein various artists joined Pagan's Mind (who served as the backing band for this occasion) on stage to sing a variety of covers. Floor sang Queen's "Who Wants To Live Forever?" with Ralph Scheepers, and to this day that is still the greatest performance I've ever seen. If you ask people that were there what they thought the highlight of the set was, there's a solid 80% chance they'll give you the same answer I did.

It's not just Floor, It was the choice to put Henk on the show as well that lead to this Epic finale. Without both of them this would not have been made possible. And the session players (band) contribute a lot to it as well. But everything makes this great: The (concept of the) show itself, the people, the emotions and the reactions during the songs make it complete. This season was exceptional and as mentioned an absolute Epic finale. It couldn't have ended any better. Love to everybody on the show.

The singers are great and all but what I love this show for the most is how much it did for metal as a genre. Floor came onto this show with everyone expecting she'd be shit and would just be screaming all the time with the other singers being much better but she ended up showing how much skill it takes to sing metal, how beautiful, versatile and emotional it can be and the show brought this sort of music to a much wider audience...even Henk learned a vocal distortion technique just because of floor. This show brought massive levels of respect and appreciation to an artform that has been disregarded as inferior since its conception and I think that's truly the most awesome part of it

Well he has to now. Henk agreed to sing this with Floor. If she promised him he could sing this live with Nightwish when they come to Amsterdam next year. And she said yes. So only 13 more months to wait and see this happen, Nightwish + Henk Poort - Phantom of the opera

I can only hold out hope that Nightwish will have Phantom of the Opera on the setlist for the US tour. I've been a fan of theirs since 2000, and the song was covered by them before with their original singer which was amazing but I long to see it in person with the Siren, Floor.
