Beste Zangers is a Dutch format, which is also sold to Denmark. That's the reason why the shows are quite simular. And Floor, well... she is awesome in every way. All the best from the Netherlands.

Yup this ruined me 😁 I can't even listen to another version anymore lol! Floor sang this for Emma who is the cute blonde in the red dress. When it was Floors turn to sit on the sofa Emma sang "Stong" for Floor, a song Floor wrote for her mother. This is far from shallow. Floor's performance is as deep like an Ocean and sorry to say, much better tha Gaga's and Brad's "original", which i cannot listen at all anymore mostly because of the heavy airplay on the radio. Floor has so much emotion and vocal textures on her performance that it hits straight to our heart and soul. Of course i'm a little biased here, because i love all of her being so much. ⛄💗👸

Hello again fellow danes. Stick with the Beste Zangers, you will not be disappointed, and it is the same concept as toppen af poppen. In this one, Floor was singing to Emma Hester, who is doing cover songs on the internet - this was a cover of a cover as Floor described it in the program. Henk Port is the European Phantom of the Opera, and Floor and Henk became close friends during the show (Floor was a huge fan of him and was in fan girling mode she told). Please do Henk's version of " Sound of Silence" for Floor - in Beste Zangers - that's great. But please do all of Floor's Beste Zangers songs - she is incredible. In fact that year 2019 was incredible. Floor's range in Nightwish - not possible because she is still developing her voice (true!!) to improve the songs - especially on their new album, she is doing impossible singing for everyone else than her ( also a fact!) But please follow her and the Nightwish evolution by following the setlist from Wacken 2013 - starting with Dark Chest of Wonders, their opening song. Floor is singing old Nightwish songs, that she has made her own, using her incredible range and power, and adding some techniques to put emotions into the songs. From 2015 ( Wembley and Tampere 2015) it is songs written to Floor voice - but you have to be familiar with her capabilities from the 2013 concert first. Just enjoy the ride - and as the others says - please do "Let it go" - the little fan spoiling gift Floor put on the Internet to her fans the other day. Beste Zangers also sometimes performed each others' songs (Emma Heesters sang Floor's Strong, for example. Flloor sang Winner by one of the others.). You can try Floor with some more songs from Beste Zangers 2019 or try Nightwish - Storytime (wacken 2013) or try Floor+ Simone Simons + her band Epica - Sancta Terra (retrospect live) with full orchestra + choir live on stage.

Well done ladies but the other songs she did in different genres and different languages will blow you away too. Week in and week out on this show Floor was just a emotional wrecking machine as she just stunned everyone with her performances as you will experience. The show goes like this... The season consists of 6 participants who are famous singers. Each week (each episode), one artist is chosen to sit and listen as the others choose one song each of THAT artist's own songs or a cover that has a special meaning in their life, and they sing the song to the artist. At the end of the episode, the artist picks a singer that sang the song the best and that singer is the winner for that episode. At the end of the season they tally up the results of each episode for every singer and determine a "Beste Zanger" for that season, and for the 2019 season, it was Floor Jansen, of course.🤘 🤘

She sang Who Wants To Live Forever with her first band, After Forever. The YT channel Paashaas2013 did a remix of Queen and Floor singing it. It's remarkable because Floor would only have been 10 years old when Freddie died - yet she seems to have the same kind of charisma, stagecraft and a wide vocal range. 😢❤️

Yes, the format is exactly as you described except that songs that have special meaning for the artist "on the couch" that week are also acceptable. In this case, Emma Heesters (the blond girl on the couch) is known for doing covers - so no original songs for the others to choose from, so Floor chose Shallow which was liked b y both of them. Also, if you want to continue your Nordic roots musical journey I would highly recommend that you check out Aurora - she is a young Norwegian singer who is truly unique. LOVE you girls, and of course we all share an appreciation for Floor. BTW, on Beste Zangers, on the last day, she did "Shallow" again as a duet with Tim. It's also incredible. There is a moment when you think she's going to blow him off the stage, but she pulls back and lets him shine too. Check it out.

Even in the U.S. we follow the Dutch lead and import almost all of their reality shows. If we ever imported Beste Zangers though, i'm afraid we'd muck it up. Emma Heesters, the gal she was singing to was just a KZbin covers artist at the time of the show's taping so there were no originals to sing. Emma has, however, gone on to win "Best Dutch Act 2020" at the MTV EMA Awards. You should check out Emma singing Floor's song, "Strong" to her. But make sure to grab a box of tissues.

My view on the Nightwish journey, as someone who has been a fan since the first singer. They started out very strong, then made a misstep and lastly corrected course. And according to me the corrected course seem to fit the band even better then the strong start.

If by misstep u mean Anette, then i wont agree with you on that one. She was necessary step in the bands, especially Tuomas, evolution. In the Tarja era everything was build around her voice. Anette was good, but fairly ordinary. It both allowed and required Tuomas to spread his composing wings with music going to the foreground, it became the centerpiece. Imaginaerum is still one of my favourite albums and musically one of the best. I dont think we would get recent masterpieces if Anette wasnt there. Sometimes events and experiences we call mistakes are more important to success than successes themselves.

Girls, thank for a great reaction. Please try reacting to Floor singing ""Winner" from the same show. This is a real tear jirker if you know the history of the song. She sings it for Tim who wrote it for his brother who is confined to a wheel chair. Second one is ""About Love I Don't Know"" which was written by one of the other singers on the show. He wrote this about the divorce of his parents.
