Good reaction again Nikki. This video was filmed at the annual "Raskasta Joulua" (eng. Heavy Christmas) concert. The band has great Finnish musicians and a group of top-class metal singers as soloists. The singers change in different years and this time Floor sang this well-known Christmas carol. 🙂🤘

Floor is so lovely and humble....besides all her qualities. with floor you can never fail. IMO. For me the best vocalist i have ever listen to.

This is Floor Jansen performing solo... She has a solo album out now called 'Paragon' and has been doing shows w/ her solo band. She has a ton of music outside of Nightwish - 5 studio albums w/ the band After Forever... 2 albums as ReVamp... 1 album w/ Northward (w/ guitarist Jørn Viggo Lofstad of Pagan's Mind)

Can’t fail with Floor even if she’s singing it in a language she isn’t that familiar with, she just does it! It was a lovely performance and it definitely deserved to be played while there’s still chance, glad that you recorded this one I hadn’t heard it before!

I like Tarja and she has great vocals and nothing wrong but in my humble opinion she's not as versatile as The Goddess. Floor is just in her own league. My first Nightwish experience was with Floor. Like you I also (truly)listened to Tarja after listening to Floor and it was weird at first because I put Floor at the top so quickly. Now i can appreciate Tarja and her talents without comparing it to Floor. Great review as always and to my favorite Christmas song with my favorite singer. You can never go wrong with the NW Arena videos, so there's nothing to be sorry about. Sounding out the year with Floor is ending it on a high note indeed. I'll just respectfully skip the nxt NW part, since I heard their 1st songster live (and had a hard time deciphering the idiosyncratic Finnglish pronunciation). That was loooong time ago, when Floor fronted legendary After Forever and could still write her own lyrics and vocal lines. Ty Nikki & a HNY to you and yours.

I know 1 Finnish word, (kitos = Thank you.), but her renditions if O Holy Night in Finnish are the most beautiful singing I have ever heard. If you check out other renditions, the band is less loud. Floor's performance is even greater. She sounds Angelic. Ville Lied from Beste Zangers is a close second.

Hi Nikki, Merry Christmas from UK 😉 I totally get your trepidation about reacting to the End Of An Era concert, but that's OK That is the era that I discovered Nightwish and I loved them back then, but I am definately more of a Floor fan You will get to hear some new songs so that is something to look forward to, and if memory serves, Emppu had some great solos back then 😁

I discoved Nightwish in 2019 and like you, am a Floor-era fan, still recognizing the contribution of the previous singers. Go for it👍 Start right away with her Dark Christmas collection. Check out All I Want For Christmas Is You right away. I had met Nightwish with Floor as a singer. It took me a whole 2 years to get used to the songs with Tarja and certainly 3 years to learn to love her as well. I'm sure that no real Nightwish fan is angry with you that you need your time to learn to love Tarja.

I have stumbled across Nightwish in 2015 and I would never have fallen in love with Nightwish for sure without Floor ! Although Annette was doing nice things primarily on records and Tarja had been already a legend and Tuomas' source of inspiration for many (love) songs, until the "Dark Passion Play" album in 2007.

Don't worry. Tarja's voice will grow on you. It took awhile for me to get used to her after my Floor rabbit hole. Her take on Ghost Love Score is really cool. If I was you, I would start with Phantom of the Opera . Marko and Tarja knock it out of the park. Andrew Lloyd Weber loves it, which speaks for itself.
